i run a turbo smart ebc thats just done off a switch and with how it lets boost hit on the cavy, its not that great for overall power delivery its nothing then everything, a different controller would driving it night and day with ramp rates/gain.

thats why with that experience im currently looking at the new greddy profec/ams500 or even a boost leash (heard it needs c02 indefinitely to work though)

i dont want to take away from how smooth/linear the power of the jeep is right now and why id rather spend a bit and have a controller that can bring boost on possibly sooner and with control. the jeep is just like driving it stock until you finally put your foot in it and i enjoy that part of it

*** got an email that my driveline parts (flexplate/converter/tranny/tranny cooler/axles showed up on friday and will be getting installed asap. hoping my B&M extra capacity tranny pan clears the exhaust but time will tell.

2013's setup will be stock 370ci 6.1 thats bone stock aside from a 180* thermostat running 11ish psi, 2 step, fuel system, flexplate, stall converter, built transmission, wavetrac lsd with axles and PML extra capacity diff cover.

im gunning for a consistent 10 second passes with a tranny that can hold the power and being able to get out of the hole with the 2 step/converter. prior to the combo i couldnt brake stall/build boost at all and was running stock 60fts so i should be good to drop almost a half second there even with not upping the boost. im hoping to be able to a couple runs without being booted but we know how that goes. im already in the works for a roll bar thats not intrusive and still allows rear passengers and the safety requirements to be met

    11.52 @ 122mph.

wish it wouldnt have gone down, last run in the vid something let go and still did a 11.98 @ 94.xx mph.

need a boost controller so boost can hit harder and ramp up quicker but even then its not too bad.

A 75 shot does wonders on mine for boost off the line. Good runs with lots more potential.

dont need anything for off the line, i got that covered with the 2 step, even without airing the tires down i got 1.60's which isnt bad, the 1.5x will come just need to see wtf happened first and go from there

disappointed with the start of this year, sent my manifold for some work for the 90mm tb however ups yard saled it and broke it to all hell by snapping one of the fuel rail mounts off of it and then it actually cracked the flange which would be sealed by the intake gasket. had to buy a new core and should have it by the end of the week then its off for powdercoating and then reinstall.

with that said, all the jeep is getting is a proper boost controller and setting it to 8psi for pump gas, will jump it to 12-14 with race fuel and having a proper pcv system built including a breather can to help with any pressure on the crank case, might look into a vacuum pump to aid in helping that as well

should be a fun year once its back together and cant wait to disappoint some people locally

    little 2017 update:

put in a built engine, swapped the 6262's to the bigger 6766's and on 8psi ran a best of a 10.71 @ 127mph. Unfortunately found out that my converter was a bit too loose and it wouldn't lock up so couldn't add more boost or run any faster

    here's my 10.91 @ 124mph run, didn't get a video of the 10.71

got a couple things sorted out and see what 2018 brings

Nice! Good to see it's still around and doing well. I used to see it cruising around Red Deer, and at the car show back in the day.

so far 2018 has been some tweaks and getting everything sorted out.

the 10.71 @ 127mph on 8psi was done with..... passenger wastegate stuck open (now fixed), converter not locking up as it was too loose (swapped to a superpro transmission and the much tighter converter), couple pre turbo exhaust leaks (fixed)

also for 2018 i installed a scavenge pump and a reservoir for the oil to drain into. that has stopped any smoking/oil issues thus far as with the stroker, we removed the oem piston squirters so oil pressure went up a tiny bit.

for peace of mind and with E85 looking like it might be available more, im also swapping my dual fuel pump Fore hat to a triple pump loaded with 3x 450lph pumps

ready to finish up tuning and make some passes on double digit boost and get deep into the 10's and still hunting for that 9 at the end of the day
