These Honda threads make me happy.

I’ve been debating getting a Honda daily, but I don’t know how I’d replace any of my currents with it.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

Is there room for a >6' adult to comfortably sleep in the back if you take out the rear seats?

Nope. However, if you fold all 4 seats back, it lays fairly straight and you can fit a 6' person comfortably.

Bought 11 yards of this stuff (car *should* only take around 6-7 due to all the plastic), now I have to learn what tools I need besides the vinyl itself

I always liked the combo but they are hens teeth, this one is a bit more yellow and is based off of Toyota’s colour used on the fJ/taco/4Runner

Key saga continues, need to get an element key cut, take the rf chip out of that, then install that in the key. So far I got they key above cut, but Honda changed their immobilized in 06 and I have an 04, so one more dealer visit for me……..*sigh*

Minor update, 2 steps forward, 1 step back.

Turns out my mechanical skills are rusty as expected, I got the new rear control arms and swing arm spacers in, buuuut started spinning a capture nut in the frame rail for the subframe spacer, so it went to the shop where they have the tools to deal with that. While there they did the abs sensors (which snapped off, because Honda), and replaced the upstream o2 sensor only to have the rear o2 sensor fail immediately after (should have seen that coming). Add to that the rear geometry isn’t linear with the front due to the swing arm, so the 2/2 kit made it look like the stink bug, and the 2/1 I have in there now looks like the rear shocks are going out. Rear o2 sensor ordered, 1.5” rear spacers ordered, alignment Monday maybe? Urban expressions did good getting the tires mounted upon the gtr wheels at least, and yes they still need a wash.

    2” rear spacers

Thanks, they are from a drifter in red deer so they have lived quite a life, but 16x8 wheels aren’t the easiest to find and forged magnesium is always nice

Got the alignment done and the height dialed in, still some gremlins to chase down but that’s the joy of projects. Initial shakedown run out to west Bragg went well today, amazing how much you can beat on this motor on the on ramps.
