I’ve burned up some old ass tires a few times at the top of 3rd gear sideways around the oval at race city... they just chunk up... if they start throwing rubber at the car... slow down haha
Fair enough! Just don't want crap rubber on a newish used car. I don't need the hassle. Question is: will border try and ding me for tire taxes or fees? Probably not as the car is coming with the new tires vs stopping at Jose's tireland in
    San Antonio heading home.

you are buying the car site unseen?
Car has a clean title, I've spoken at length to former owner (owned 17 years 3 months) have videos of it running and moving.
If it turns out to be a Somalian pirate car, a call to Visa/Ebay will square it up in short order.

Carrolton. Nope, car fax says no floods. And I've been speaking to the 40 something year old engineer former owner he's a straight up kinda guy.

This is a pretty regular thing for Texas and California muscle cars. The car retailers down there survive on this, they have very little interest in scamming. Definitely need to do your due diligence, and there is recourse available. Also, the service you get is top notch. My father went down to look at/purchase his 02 SS, they gave him a rental car for a couple days after he looked at it and agreed to purchase. They cleaned it up a bit better, did all the documentation, and they drove it home on the Cali plates. Even drove across the border with them to Nevada so no tax.

That’s unheard of in Canada for a used car, wow! Any pics of your dads 02 SS?

Update: I confronted the dealer with this new found information from the prior owner and we've agreed that they will spec brand new
Nitto NT555 G2's free mount & balance. $600 CAD and change all said and done. I'm satisfied.
