hahaha everyone else thinks so too. People have messaged me if I got mine yet hahaha

But I promised myself not to get first year of something again. I don't want to deal with the, if you don't buy it someone else will.
I'm "trying" to wait till stock sits a bit, rates are down. And I really want a red one.

I've dealt with getting one of the first 2015 sti's. With crazy rates, updates year after year right after.

I'm really trying to wait hahah we will see how that goes.
I'm leaning towards letting the hype and interest rates to settle down as well as what first year "issues" arise. And two other words lingering in the back of my head.....Phoenix Yellow

I went and sat in the black one at Heritage today. Man it's a great fit.

Seats are great, shifter throw and feel is great. Clutch felt stiff and proper.

Headroom was spectacular, enough room for a helmet!

    I got a white.

Just drove it, honestly its much better than I thought. But I had low expectations since the SI is pretty shitty. Pulls nice, very linear power. great handling. Its also very quiet even in high rev, which to me, is disappointing cause our M2 sounds so amazing. Overall I'm pretty impressed. I've had a 15 STi and drove the golf R, I do think the TypeR is comparable. It's tons of fun for a FWD but you really dont feel the tq steel, so they've done a great job with that. I'll check back later once i've driven it more.
How's the clutch compared to your 2015 sti? Was it heavy or super light? In the short span of time that you drove it, do you prefer it over your m2?

Clutch is heavier, and the tranny is much better than the Subby glass 6 speed. When I first drove the new Si tho I was scared if the CTR is anything like it because it's very underwhelming. Thankfully it is a completely different animal.

You cant really compare the CTR to an M2 as the M2 is 30k more... but they are both fun in their own way.

I see a blue GTR here and there, that must be you. You just picked up a set of blue volks from Kyle at specR right? There's also a white GTR just a few houses down from me.

The M2 has the optional M performance exhaust with the electronic valve. It's actually my wife's car.

Black one up here now. As previously mentioned it's a lot of money to spend on a car that'll essentially be useless in the snow. Much better options in the $40k range IMO new or used that don't involve failWD.

Please go on. A focus RS is terrible in the snow unless you use the winters.

Why would the civic be different? It'll be great with blizzaks or Nokians.

People who can't drive fwd in the snow are terrible drivers and should have thier licenses revoked. Racing from stoplight to stoplight awd is great. But last time I checked even fwd cars gave 4 wheel brakes and 2-wheel steering.

It has a helical LSD too, probably would be among one of the best FWD vehicles for winter driving.

Yeap that's me. I bought the TEs from a vendor in the US but I had Kyle do the mounting and balance. Amazing service from him of course

The white GTR on blue TE37s is a friend too! He might be on beyond too I think!

That would explain the sound from the M2. It is incredible!!

I will never buy a fwd car again, never mind one that is almost 300hp and $40k.

lol well thats your problem. I've had "any" wheel drive cars in winter and survived just fine. It's not my fault you are a shitty driver.

The CTR isn't my bag, but I'm really glad that Honda is doing it.

My CTS-V has a lot more than 300hp, and I just slap some blizzaks on that bitch and go.

Does anybody actually have any pictures of one in person?

EDIT: Are there any plans to get a 2dr version going as well?

My first car was a Sentra SER and I drove it for four winters without a problem on mountain roads in BC, I think I can drive just fine. Having experienced FWD, AWD and RWD in the dead cold snow, I'd take RWD any day.
