Anyone got a good recommendation for an electric scooter? my sister wants one for rec use and theres so many. shes only 110lbs so no need for anything big power wise. Found some good deals on amazon but the reviews on there can be so fake, my wife bought some brushes from there and they were the biggest POS so she returned them. A week later i get an email from the seller asking how i was enjoying it and if i wrote a good review they'd send me a 25 amazon card

These seem nice though a bit more expensive than the cheap amazon made-up brand ones. They've been around for a while now so at least not a fly by night brand. No personal experience though.

Please note that Segways can only be bind to one profile in the App. - I found that after purchasing it from Costco. - I returned it.
Our friends have GoTrax XR Ekite and they love it. I tried it over the weekend and I am debating

costco's probbaly your best bet for getting something half decent with easy return if it doesnt work out... they typically sell ninebot/segway stuff at a decent price.

The included charger gets hot, so if you happen to have an aluminum heatsink or a metal pan to be under it to spread out the heat a bit its always a good idea. Plug the charger into the scooter first, and the wall socket last to charge - Doing it the other way is a small risk.

As with all scooters, most of the time the battery will last years+ if you never fully discharge or fully charge. One bar, charge no more than three hours. Two bars, charge no more than two hours. Three, one hour max (or maybe even half hour if you never come close to discharge)

Winter (off season) drain the battery to 40% for storage.

Under no circumstances should the GXL V2 be plugged in for more than 4 hours.

Get the segway and not the off brand. The little extra you pay goes to R&D and service (and some to advertising) but you end up with a better overall product. Especially if you plan on keeping it 5 to 10 years the little extra becomes not such a big difference.

The go kart looks awesome. I'm guessing they're not allowed on the pathway system though since they're completely motorized. Someone could make a great business out of renting those things out in the summer.

Sounds like a pain. Is this all lithium scooter batteries? I just leave mine to charge overnight it'll shut off after being fully charged.

If it's one of the larger brands (like segway/ninebot or xaomi) - you assuredly can - the cheap ones... You might not want to take the chance.

But if you're not using for a week, a timer might be a good thing.

The charger does have a LED that "turns green" from red when the maximum charge is hit to prevent overcharge. So you can rely on that.

But overnight charge is not really a good idea for any lithium scooter, its simply too long. Most times I charge for max two hours. Buying a wall outlet timer (1,2, 3 hour) might be useful.
