    Default Ice skates

I haven't skated in 20 years and wouldn't mind trying it again to stay active with the gyms not being open.

Any brands to stay away from?
Best place to go to not spend a fortune?

I just picked up a pair for my daughter from Play it Again sports, most of our sports gear we bring over there to trade. They give you a credit if you don’t find what your looking for.

Honestly you'll have to go and try them out. All brands and models fit differently. Unless you go all out with VH/TRUE made to measure.

If you want people that knows what they're talking about. I'd recommend professional skates or source for Sport.

More on brands... I agree with @Team_Mclaren
For example, the most painful and problematic skates I ever owned were also the most expensive - Graf.
I was always a Bauer brand loyalist, but the best pair I ever had (by a country mile) were Easton.

That makes no sense simply because human feet be different.

What size are your feet? I just bought a new pair and have some 9’s. My feet are 10.5. Skates fit smaller.

Size 9 in runners. Went over to Canadian Tire and got some ccm ones that were on sale.

Check kijiji and FB market place, lots of good options there. Either CCM or Bauer are really the only way to go.

Haha good time for @riander to promote his hockey equipment review website....

The hockey review sites are all bullshit. None of them review jock straps, which are undeniably the most important piece of gear. It's a conspiracy. FUCKING OCEAN!
