What’s the towing capacity of a crv anyways, like 73lb?

Lots of people tow lots of stuff with small vehicles. It doesn’t make it a good idea.

Truth. I'd tow a tent trailer with a crv. Some people have more balls than me.

U-Haul always comes up as the cheapest option. They sell Curt hitches

Hitchweb is an online option, there are many others. Usually hitch installs are not terribly complicated.

Curt hitches for sure, get a part # off their website and check Amazon, sometimes can get them for super cheap.

Ended up booking an install slot for ROUND tube with Curt 56370 Custom 4-Flat Wiring Connector at u-haul. I noticed I had two options

    2" Rec - Round Tube
    Class 3 hitch
    Max weight: 4,500 lbs.
    Manufacturer Part Number: 76128
    Part number: CQT76128
    https://www.uhaul.com/Trailer-Hitche...uide/CQT76128/

    2" Rec - Square Tube
    Class 3 hitch
    Max weight: 3,500 lbs.
    Manufacturer Part Number: 13397
    Part number: CMF13397
    https://www.uhaul.com/Trailer-Hitche...uide/CMF13397/

My hitch is primarily for a bike rack. No idea if I will even tow anything with this car but figured I add the wiring option

I got one on my 2021 CRV. I had it installed when I bought it at Honda West. Its just for a bike rack.
They said the same thing, the hitch is not for towing. Bike rack only.
I'l have a look later to see which one I have.

U-Haul on blackfoot did my wife's RDX for bike rack purposes. Went fine. As has been said, it aint rocket science.

Got ours done at U-Haul (Curt brand) Barlow in 2020. Comes with lifetime warranty.

Ordered online and selected installation with the order. Installation time and charge was for 0.5 hours. However, the bolt holes were rusted on our 2014 and the installation took about 2 hours but since everything was quoted beforehand the installation charge was still for 0.5 hours.

I added a hitch to my 2013 Q5 last month at Hitch Experts. $400 + tax installed. Waited around 2 hours in their waiting room. When I looked at uhaul it was a bit more, and I think 2 week booking lead time vs Hitch Experts who got me in that same week.

This was without electronics as I just want to do a bike rack. I think it was another $100 for the wiring harness if you need to tow a trailer or something.

    Would def recommend them.

Curt also has lots of YouTube install videos.
Not too hard with modest set of tools.
Take care on any rear sensor wires and don't yank the bumper if it feels stuck. Probably a wire.

This. I’ve installed Curt hitches on my old Volvo C30 and my CTS-V wagon, OEM Volvo hitch on my old Volvo XC60. It’s really not that difficult to install them on a weekend.
    I like neat cars.

Received a call the past Fri that hitch and wiring have not arrived so they had to move my appt from past Mon to past Tues.
Received a call the past Mon saying the hitch is here but wiring has not. So have to move appt again. I say NO, just do the hitch tomorrow (Tues), I will deal with the wiring some other time
Install took 1.5h so they charge me additional 1h on top of the 0.5h that I already paid for.
They refunded the wiring part and install.
So far so good for 2 trips with the bike rack although I hear the odd "clunk" when I hit a bump?

    What rack?
Most you can tighten the rack in the hitch. That could be the sound or just the bike bouncing on the rack a bit.
