Koodo just called and offered me the 60$ for 10gb plan so seems thats still kicking around even though its 75$ on their site.
Fido just offered me 10GB data and all the usual unlimited parameters for $65/mo - I suspect anyone can get that if they call in though. It's a BYOD plan.
Yea, I just got this logging in to my account. Nice bump from 8gb to 10gb for $5. Can't complain. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Thanks for the heads up.
edit - new plan has data shield. Stops data as soon as it goes over. Finally. That $50 minimum overage before shutting down was fucking retarded.

Yeah for me it's 6GB --> 10GB for $1 more haha. No-brainer.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Glad it worked for you - did you call them or did you just do it online yourself?
I had to go in store. This isn’t in their system but it’s popping up on my account. Live chat and phone can’t take my screenshot. They told me to go to store so I did. Showed the pop up on my account and they took care of it.
In case anyone wants the screenshot as proof to get this deal:
So ya not sure if this is a glitch where Quebec plan pricing showing up here, or if they weren’t fully ready to roll it out yet. Either case, they took the 10GB $75 plan that’s on there and coded in a $10/month discount code.
Edit - Quebec plan is 16gb for $65 now lol. Fucking frenchies.

Interesting - usually it's the other way around where the store can't help you and they tell you to call in. Thanks. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Ultracrepidarian
I wonder if the plans are all going to be shit in December when the terms are up from that initial deal a year and a half ago.
I went to Fido at lunch time to do this, the guy said he had already helped one person that morning (maybe it was you haha) and he had to call a supervisor to get it added. They did that for me and it got denied, despite the fact that they helped people get it his morning. Different supervisor I guess. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I called in myself, after politely arguing with a rep who couldn't help me I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, who did end up giving me the plan. They just asked that I send in a screen shot (earlier person told me they don't accept screen shots lol) and reference my case number in an email.
The manager I spoke with did tell me it was NOT a data shield plan though so I hope you're right and he's wrong.
man how i wish data shield was an option for all accounts...kinda bs that its not
If it was at the Core store, then yea that was me. But yea, I'm on this plan:This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
With a $10/month discount code. It doesn't switch over till my next billing cycle though.

Yup haha - The Core, so it was probably you. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Same here I have to wait until September 3rd or whatever for it to be in affect for my next billing cycle. I am not sure if they just used that $75 plan and applied a discount or not, they didn't tell me how they were able to manually give me the plan.
I'm not sure if I can check exactly what plan they gave me until it's in effect though - it doesn't show up yet on my dashboard on fido.ca. I'm happy either way, but it would be nice to have the data shield.
You should have received an email with your change, which denotes the exact plan that you got.

Alright I literally just got the email now - says I am on the "Fido Pulse 10GB - BYOP" I didn't get a fancy summary like you did but I got this:This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Looks like I got the same plan as you with the overage protection
Koodo called me last night and offered me their $75 20 gig plan. They also had a $70 15gb plan. I took the 75$. This is likely ymmv but if you're with Koodo wouldn't hurt to call in
Mine went live already.
Does include data shield.

Both wife and i are on the $65/10GB thru Rogers, but the past couple of months i've been using just over 10GB and end up having to add a 1.5GB add on for $20 so it ends up costing me $85.
Thinking of going to the 20GB Telus EPP for $76, but I really don't feel like switching providers. Has anyone had any luck getting Rogers to price match the EPP plans lately?
Looks like cell plans are getting cheaper and cheaper
