probably not, but it set a precedent for higher prices.

Just bought this for my 8 year old.

The upgrades are going to cost the same as the bike!

@bjstare did you a Spawn from me? I'll have a 20" bike for sale as soon as I get this 24" sorted.

I'll be there to either get new bibshorts or some bikepacking stuff. Do you have anything in mind you're planning to get?

If I make it into Calgary in time, I might grab the Kona Honzo, just to have another non-Ebike to ride around on the farm property with, and at our lake cabin too. I had a similar Kona back in 2007, their "Hoss", it was one of the best out of the box bikes I've had (it got stolen in Ft Mac).

I was thinking I could use some tires for commuting, but unfortunately I'll be in Okotoks playing slo-pitch all day so I'll end up missing this sale.

Still shows $1,049.94 to me online. Is there a trick? Or do I have to go to the store? Coz that's an amazing price!

Have to go in store. I saw it there when I went on Tuesday. It is a good price. Too big for what I need (just need 4 bike).

Need to go in store. I was contemplating at getting the mammoth 6 bike. Then backed off that idea and scaled back to a 4 bike platform ones despite we have 5 people total. Figured I can keep one bike in the van if I really need to.

Anyway, here's the pic from yesterday.

Are bikes any cheaper in the US vs Canada? I'm doing a road trip through the US in September and I've been thinking of getting a gravel bike. If the US bike shops are usually better price I may pick up a bike down there if the deal is good enough. I'll be driving through/around Montana, Utah, Nevada.

We picked up an e bike at Bow cycle yesterday. Wasn't on sale, asked for a discount, and got $1200 off. I think that's a good deal?

Someone mentioned to me (think it was @benyl ) that there's a big inventory issue so they're trying everything to move stuff. Never got a discount so easily on a bike.

I've also heard from a bike shop employee that there's a glut of inventory and to expect some decent sales in the Fall. The pandemic bike boom is over apparently

For the most part, it is cheaper down there, one, because of sales tax. Just make sure you don't tell them you bought the bike from there. I would ride for like 4 km to make it look used. The tax for a complete bike across the border is 13%. Parts are 5% though.

Forget about cheaper, I would be looking for an e-bike that goes 28mph instead of the shitty 20mph we get here.

So this might be the year I can bump up to something more comfortable than my 10spd CAAD10 from a decade ago!
