As much as I like that guy, it's pretty fuckin easy to sit on the sidelines and mock the retarded kid as he lobs them over the plate for you. Anyone can do that. Pierre does it exceptionally well and with poise & swagger which make you think he'd be doing a far better job if he was in power; but...
It could be a very different story if he was at the reins.

I wouldnt want Pierre as MY leader, but thats not to say he wouldnt be a good leader - I just prefer my countries' leaders to be quiet, pragmatic and boring.

Anyone with as much theatrics as PP spends too much time thinking about the optics - but I guess thats pretty norm for the house of commons. It should be boring politics, but its delved into shouting and petty bickering.

Harper was an asshole, but he got shit done.

Harper didn't get much done, IMO. Not much that mattered anyway.

He got focused on re-election rather than using his 4 years to do some permanently good things.

Im definitely no political expert, but from the biographies that I have read about harper - he was a complete ass at times, who hated the media and didnt give a shit about optics - besides the prudish appearance. However, according to the privy council insiders, his government was able to get many more things done than the, internally-bickering liberals.

Trudeau is a nice guy who caters to insiders, focuses on optics, special interest groups and advancing the liberal/leftist agenda. He would love to be seated at the UN but they dont like Castros bastard son .... haha

In other words, Canada has exactly the politicians it deserves.

The issue is all the characters today are professional politicians.
From day one that was the goal and the goal is to get votes and stay in office.
Look at Biden... Multiple runs for white house and a political career spanning decades. He's got no idea how to run shit. Just garner votes and sniff the hair of ladies and kids.

SNC Lavalin is a world leader in [REDACTED] and a true Canadian success story. They are uniquely positioned to advise on [REDACTED] and supply [REDACTED] in the most efficient and effective way during this crisis.

Not sure how I feel about an election right now

    A) Election almost certainly means another full Trudeau term (majority) so that sucks

    B) Not like anyone is saying no to Trudeau right now anyway

    C) If he lost an election we might be able to get rid of Trudeau lite OToole and see if we can find a better leader this time who can actually win a future election ( big maybe considering how the last two leadership races went ). Seems like essentially doesn’t matter how bad Trudeau is O toole can’t capitalize on it

    D) We might be able to get rid of Jagmeet, a strong NDP can only help conservatives and the party has been dogshit under his leadership ( NDP has basically admitted internally that the Liberals have moved so far left their party has a policy / existential crisis )

    E) An entirely optional election during the pandemic ranks pretty high up there with worst ideas ever

A lot of different balls in the air right now, that being said I don’t think Canadian conservatives are any worse off after a snap election than we are today.

Now would be a perfect time for Alberta to decentralize everything as much as possible - become another Quebec. They have a lot of options at the table that they are not pursuing with PM Castro.

He would love an election before tax time and all the CERB people who shouldn't have gotten it has to pay back it back.

Well before we bitch at this.... Calgary's ATCO also benefited from this program.

    https://www.atco.com/en-ca/about-us/...nment-of-.html

Probably not at the scale of what SNC got but I also assume that covers Quebec/Ontario. Again since China has shown in Wuhan, having these MHUs ready is not a bad idea.
