How do you guys switch up the IF? I was told your body adjusts to IF if you're on the same schedule everyday.

I guess it depends on your goals. If you use If as a method of total calorie reduction, then it doesn't matter if you body adjusts, because the old calories in minus calories out equation still works.

I "dynamically" adjsut my schedule and it's easy to do.

So you ate until 11 pm? K, so don't have lunch till 3. Then finish at 8. Boom. You've had a 16-hour window and you're back on track.

For a while, I adjusted my window to be 2-10 because I like to get stoned on Friday nights, eat Sam's Chinese food, and play video games.

    Ez-pz.
    This is what I do.

My eating window had been from 3pm - 11pm because I'd decided having wine/beer/scotch after the kids were in bed was more important to me than breakfast or lunch If I stay up later or overindulge, I can push my start time the next day and still stay on track... Like you said, ez-pz

Just switch it up now and again. I tend to stick to a pretty rigid eat from noon until 8:00pm, but often I am finished eating by 6:00 or so. Then I sort of give myself a bad cheat night now and again where I will eat a shit ton of bad stuff, but then I will follow up the next day with a full day fast and not eat anything until dinner or something like that. I find it never seems to fail, but when I grow stagnant in the weight loss department eating really clean and keeping my times rigid, I have a big ol' cheat, ride out a hungry day, and get right back on track and things start working again.

Not sure if that is just me but it always seems to work.

I was becoming a fat fuck, hit 227 I'm 5' 11" so decided to try Keto. Started in May 2019, not sure when, maybe 7 or 8 months in, I got down to 172. Started to add back some carbs, the odd helping of potatoes, a slice of garlic toast here and there. Was holding at 178ish. But this Covid BS is testing me. Can't visit my 90 year old mom who has dementia and is mostly deaf other than 20 minutes outdoors once a week, and work stress, and home stress... I'm cheating more and more. Had fries the other day, and rice!!! Also drinking more than I should. Though I have to say that the ultra light beer, and straight vodka didn't impede my weight loss during keto. Yeah, I know it's bad for me, but whaddayagunnado? Currently flirting with 180, really would like to be between 170-175, but my body seems to like 177ish.
    Still beats 227.

I find IF super effective when I do it. Basically skip breakfast and no evening snacks, so I eat like 11-6 and then have 17h fast. Mornings are not too tough, but I like snaking and boozing in the evenings, and four beers and a bag of chips is a lot of fucking calories.

Basically don't work out. Probably could start, I'm not very strong. Also not really that worried about it, although I'd look better nekkid if I moved 10 lbs from my gut to my muscles.

    C'est la vie ya know?

Did 16:8 before and worked well. Now at home often I plan to fast but if something gives me stress I grab food.
5’8 and 196. Want to get to 175. Will aim for 16:8 with some 24+ hour fast to achieve autophagy.

I try to do this as well, but if my last drink is around 11-12, i find it so hard holding off eating until 3-4 the next day. Maybe it is just a mental block, but when i see 12 on the clock the next day my stomach attempts to eat itself and the worst hanger kicks in.

Gawd, if it's been "serious" drinking, food is essential to recovery. The few days a year I do that, I don't stick to any nutrition plan. I've got kids, I need to be up and running as quick as possible. Can't just lay about feeling shitty.

    7-9 pm = 2-3 beers + 1-2 waters

    9 - 11 = 2ox tequila on ice + hit the flower vape + water.

7 am next day = hello sunshine

No hangover. Lots of silliness. Thank you, weed. Thank you for all that you do <3

Tincture + alcohol = half the alcohol, half the hangover

Probably don’t want to finish the night with it then... that’s a veteran move, it’s like the beer/liquor thing, but real

IF is such an effective way to lose weight without doing much work. I did it all the time before Covid.

But you do feel the strength seep out of you if you don't stay active, so I actually felt pretty miserable when Covid started since I couldn't participate in the sports I usually do.
So now I am not doing as much IF, but eating a good hearty lunch and dinner everyday and working out in our gym ~45 minutes every evening with good results. I never eat breakfast.

Hah, yeah we'll see. There are still jobs in there world that require drug screening with less than 14 day notice. Not my current one I suppose.
