Default Thought experiment - what if you had covid with no symptoms?

Was chatting at a family get together this weekend. What if you knew you had covid, had zero symptoms, , but nobody in your family had it yet, and you hadn't taken any kind of government testing, so they didn't know either?

What's your next few days look like?

I wouldn’t knowingly expose anyone outside my household to Covid ( or the flu, or the cold, whatever ).

If I knew I had Covid I would keep to myself for Christmas and work from home this week. This isn’t to construe this as any kind of “fear” of Covid or dying or whatever, just seems respectful?

I’d probably get tested just because there are some aspects of travel that having a documented recovery from Covid can exempt you from some travel testing and restrictions.

    I don’t think that’s a crazy stance to take?

Everyone I interact with is vaccinated, so I’d change nothing. Time to let er rip and move on with life.

I guess you could play the role of the vengeful angel and seek out demographics who might skew unvaccinated and some other negative trait.

How do you know you have Covid if you haven’t taken a test and haven’t any symptoms? Or are you just talking you test positive on the self testing at home and not tell anyone?

Am I the only person who knows what a thought experiment is?

If you are sick, you don't expose yourself to others. Not sure how this is complicated?

I'd tell the family member that I've got it, and if not severe - ask if they would like to catch it too, if they can self isolate for a couple weeks (which is not much different from what people are already doing without covid)

Genetically speaking, if you are from the same egg there is more than a good chance that life experiences will be similar. If you have a peanut allergy, then don't go around giving your sibling PBJ sandwich. But if you have mild covid, then I guess its up to choice. Vaccine efficacy does wane with time. I mean, two years of world shutdown - its enough already.

Its not like this is going back in the bottle ever, so its reasonable?

I'd react the same as I always do when I have an actual cold and stay away.

3-4 days away and good to go.

I would use it as an excuse to hide in my house for two weeks guilting all my friends and family to bring me groceries and do my bidding while I rule them all from my throne of a gaming chair, that’s what I’d do…
