Or just move to Montana. Lovely country down there.
Lovely country, can get real methy though. I thought I heard the state government down there can't afford keep up with the most basic things since there's no economy and they've never collected much in taxes.

Now would GST/PST be charged on top of this tax?

    $250+$25K = $275K

    $275K * 1.25 = $344K OTD in BC.
Yes, the way the legislation is currently drafted, the entire amount inclusive of the luxury tax will be subject to excise tax (GST/HST)... there’s always a chance some things may change before the effective date of January 1, 2022.

Wow. 7 pages and nobody has addressed the real "fuck you" from the Liberals yet. With the amount of inflation they have created, this 100k "Luxury Tax" is going to apply to a base model Honda Civic soon. Typical Marxist tricks and fuckery. Tell the plebs they're going to hit the rich, then the plebs are bamboozled when they realize the Marxists considered them rich.

That was my exact point. Call it a "luxury" tax but surprise, applies to all vehicles in a few years due to inflation. Its sneaky as fuck. Has gerald butts written all over it. Unless they index it to inflation. Even still, some people need 1 tonne trucks and these shouldnt be considered a luxury.

Looking at Fords for a buddy. You can get an F450 king ranch and. Be comfortably under $100k today. F450 platinum is over though.

So hard to see how this will impact people who "need a 1 ton" for work at today's prices.

People's "needs" are subjective at best. It's not really the governments place to dictate what my needs are, and therefore what constitutes a luxury or not.

I was going to do a writeup on the childcare boondoggle that is incoming (waiting for Kert to come in and claim the AB gov is wasting money when they refuse to do the 50% matching because leftist logic), but found this article today.

    https://nationalpost.com/opinion/dan...nd-the-economy

As expected, Quebec's claims of their system were complete BS.

I bet trucks will be excluded and Lambos will come with factory hitches and trailers.

While I agree this is a total vote grabbing move, may be it will help our birth rate and not totally rely on immigration to keep our population at sustainable level. Still the housing bubble is doing good enough of birth control as it is.

As blaming kid's behavior problems because you outsource your job to others.... it's kinda true but usually only when the parents totally disengaged from the raising your kid process. Kids in general have more issues these day since they are being had later in life and there are way more noise to deal with thanks to the internet.

All the A-Team needed was a GMC van, anything more is definitely a luxury item.

Same genre and definitely 80's. It only lasted 10 episodes but made an impression on me apparently. Kind of a cross between Mad Max and Knight Rider. Including a crazy as fuck Aussie and Lotus Esprit
