Ive written to my councellor about a seperate issue and he has stated he cannot do much without proof.

Im replying to his point. Could this vote be brought up as an example of him takin action without substantial proof..?

GF got a photo radar ticket recently in the middle of the night coming home from 12hr shift (ER nurse). Just wanted to get home, was going 11 over the limit with not a soul around except the guy reading his book in the photo radar truck. Gotta keep all those workers safe at 3:30AM...oh wait

That 14th st SW disaster has been a year in the making with almost zero progress. Another year of this BS before the projected completion date which will no doubt be wildly inaccurate. Why can't we be like the rest of the world and work 24hr a day for a fraction of the time and get shit done haha.

What is the typical threshold on those average speed cams? They were everywhere while I was driving in the UK and literally everyone was still speeding 5-10 MPH over.

I wonder how she'd like the same technology used on cycle tracks with facial recognition with a ridiculously low speed limit to be enforced. Make the track 3 km's per hour and then maybe she'd come around.

It would probably only really be effective on highways, because the only way to "beat" it would be to pull over for a bit I would think.

I follow the local cycle zealots on twitter, they'll report something as minuscule as a repainted cycling symbol on a sidewalk, but were totally silent on that incident. It didn't fit the narrative of cars being the only killing machines on those feeds.

I'm sure there are a lot of good ones but my overall experience with road cyclists is that they are 'vehicles' when convenient and 'pedestrians' when convenient, ignoring most of the rules in both cases to expedite their journey regardless of the effect it may have on anyone else, including actual pedestrians or huge lineups of traffic.

Look at this shit in Edmonton:
    https://edmontonjournal.com/news/cri...ined-1500-rcmp

There's missing info here, right? I thought they towed your car and auto court date for this type of thing. Because if it's only $1500 (when caught) to start driving 180 on the highway - I'm starting!
