I placed a wrong link, the 650 are available at Best Buy for the same price as the ones in eBay.
I got a new Thinkware X500 and will report in the quality in a couple of days.
It will be replacing my first gen Blackvue DRG400 HD.

I've narrowed my choices to the ThinkWare F770 and the BlackSys CH-100

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
I've got a thinkware x500d (front and rear recording), and it works wonderfully. I also managed to hardwire it myself (with inspiration from @jwslam )
The quality from both cameras is great, they both record at 1080p. It can be a bit sensitive to "incidents", such as going over certain bumps. That is probably my only complaint.

Where do you guys hardwire these in to?
Any accessory fuse that turns on with the car. But the Thinkware above has a hard wire kit that has both constant power and accessory power because of its park mode so it's a bit harder. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I'm open to giving more inspiration
Can't you just use a Power Magic Pro? It should be the same voltage and concept to any hard-wiring.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I installed mine over the weekend. It appeared in Best Buy last week for $249 so I had to snag it as it was the cheapest 2 Channel I found. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
My only gripe was the gigantic mount to the windshield and no spare rear camera adhesive.
Also, the orientation of the Rear Camera is upside down, which does not make sense because the ThinkWare logo and brandings were correct if the camera is facing Left Side looking in from the outside of the rear window.
The rear Blackvue I heard is the same way, upside down if you mount the way the logo/branding is...kind of silly

I have a pretty small YouTube channel and was lucky enough to be put in contact through a friend with the Blackvue marketing coordinator in Korea. They sent me out the new DR750S 2CH for me to review etc.! A big upgrade from my Ojocam which has since completely died and won't even power on anymore, sadly. I've owned it 2 years. I'll post some videos of the 750's quality once I get it setup!! Going to pick up the Power magic pro to use, too.

BlackBoxMyCar sells those for $9.99, I was going to order a few as well to make it easier. Where did you pick yours up and whats the rating on them? The ones I see online/Greggs Distributors show max amp 10A Fuse. The ones BlackBoxMyCar sells is 20A fuse.

Amazon has a [email protected]$ that claims 30A each fuse (shipped from china mind you)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

What else are you planning on hooking up that you need bigger than a 20A fuse? A 5A fuse is even overkill for just a dashcam. Technically the fuse should be sized to protect the wire not the load. Also with you car being newer make sure exactly what fuses it has most brand new vehicles went to micro2 fuses which aren't that common to find in stores. (micro2 fuse look like mini fuses when installed but have different blades you will have to pull one and check)
i bought a 10 pack on amazon or from some china reseller, i dont remember, they were super cheap though (you can get a 5 or 10 pack on amazon for like $2 each), they come with a 10a fuse, but they're like 12awg wire so they can handle 15, but you shouldn't need it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I actually mounted mine to the rear view mirror housing in my car. It actually works better for the wide lens because it sits higher. IIRC, mine came with spare rear camera adhesiveThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I didn't really pay attention to the branding for the rear view cam lol. I just rotated the camera and stuck it on.
Thanks for the info and heads up!This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
