This thread alone is anecdotal evidence that this country is a majority of idiots.

You'll have to forgive me for not jumping in with a crew of people that think wasting time and thousands of liters of diesel fuel is going to make Trudeau change anything. I don't necessarily hate the goal, but the execution of it is so fucking stupid.

Do you know what the execution is? I sure don't at this point in time. The messaging has been pretty unclear to date.

I know that if enough truckers just quit working to make a point, that things would get bad quickly. Driving to Ottawa might seem stupid, but they do need to do something to highlight the issue and that it's not just them sitting at home collecting CERB. And in that case, Trudeau actually would have to give in at some point. He can't just let gas stations run out of fuel, and grocery stores to run out of food.

So is their intention the above? Or is it just a big retard rally for the sake of it?

This is what I was going to say. What's the message?

Is it anti-vaxx or anti-restrictions? My view is those desires are conflicting.

If people would just get vaxxed then there's obviously less need for restrictions. If people want freedom to not get vaxxed then they can't expect the freedom to go around spreading a disease.

I can choose to get drunk or drive my car. I can't get drunk and then drive my car because it endangers the lives of others. Pretty fucking simple.

Mandatory blow boxes in every vehicle. Can’t be too careful.

The plan is Fuck Trudeau, and the execution of that plan is to drive around and honk their horn. It'll end with Trudeau not being fucked and everyone going home.

Time to get that Class 1 license, going to be epic tones of driving jobs with all the unvaccinated. Two shots of Moderna or PFizer already puts you at the front of the line for long-haul USA routes. Speaking English probably helps too.

From what I've been seeing they are anti-mandates, and that most of them are vaxxed.
Also, you can still spread it even if you're vaxxed, it just shortens the transmission window.

On a basic level I support anything that burns fuel, and overall I like trucks honking their horns, reminds me of good times at the overpass as a kid. Don't think Trudeau, or anyone east of Winnipeg, will give a single shit. Also don't think this will look particularly big once it gets east of Winnipeg either. Maybe I'm a cynic, but I'm guessing most of the folks in the pics from the weekend were day-trippers.

Real winners are the folks running the fundraising. Ka-fucking-ching baby!. Freedom is a great business!

Not on anyone's ignore list, that I know of... signed up a few years back when I was living out of country and missing home. Didn't post a lot until I moved back.
I had invested in a piece of land outside the city, ended up moving in the city, so not a lot of free time between that, and switching jobs.

Good group of minds here, I enjoy that people say what they're thinking.

The best part with all this is how the conservatives keep coming out against vaccines mandates and effectively completely sinking their chances of ever being elected. It's too bad O'Toole can't take a page from Harper and muzzle the numbnuts in his party. At the rate we are going the conservatives just keep making themselves less and less electable. Really not sure why they keep pandering to the "big" brain regressive idiots.
Vaccine mandates are basically completely unenforceable.

I mean you have to be one hell of a naïve doof if you think vaccine mandates actually are a good idea.

Well... If my grandmother needs to go to the hospital for something like chest pains, I'd prefer her "journey of care" to exclude getting CoVid from an HCA who never got her Grade-10 and lives in a trailer walking distance from the the town's bar.

Yes, with Omicron spread is less of a concern but the unvaccinated monopolizing hospital beds remains an issue.

or have her journey of care, actually include a room, not just a bed in the hall because all the rooms are full due to something completely avoidable.

Compliance was very high anyhow. Beating Pareto is a fool's errand.

Hey if BC is treating this thing like the flu now, maybe there was just a wee bit of an overreaction in the first place?

Like you are thinking that because people were hospitalized, that it was serious, whereas the question that should have been asked in the first place is whether plopping them in a hospital would be of any help.

And you do understand that this thing is going to always be endemic, because holy shit if I need to explain to you that there's always going to be people that are unvaccinated and if you can't figure that out on your own, you're even dumber than I first thought.

You people still think getting vaxed does sweet fuck all to prevent spreading the disease? This has been known for over a year. Vax keeps you out of the hospital. It does nothing else. Omicron is getting everyone, vaxed or not. The vaccines haven’t done shit to prevent infection, and if you’re personally vaxed, there’s no reason to care if someone else is.

Oof. Are you even a real person? This sounds like such a non-sequitur response from an NPC who ran out of speech options. Turn your brain back on dude.

If there is anything that has been learned from covid.. is that all common sense is completely gone and people are either one sided or the other and don't give a shit about the middle.

Our fragile medical care system is the reason. It isn't nearly as hearty as the US system. Yes it needs to change, but it can't while it's being over run.

Seems to be a pretty retard rally for most part and like other rallies that the platform is stolen by even louder and more retarded people so it just became annoying noise and ignored.

This one is pretty retarded as they should have driven to White House's front lawn and chanting Let's go Brandon.... oh wait..
