Safeway is the best non-hipster doughnuts I've found. Made fresh in each store a couple of times each morning.

I wonder if Safeway in the deep SE gets fresh donuts, or if they use the day olds from Aspen.

At least black people in China will have someplace to go if McD's won't let them in.
According to their Tim's Chinese website.....
    我们崇尚人人平等。无论身份、信仰和喜好
We advocate equality for all. Regardless of identity, beliefs and preferences

How long before CCP crack down on that?

Now I want to try a donut from Safeway.

Also: can you get good fresh donuts anywhere in Calgary (other than the boutique donut shops).

I pick up warm donuts at safeway around 7:30 or 8 am on weekdays. The office loves them. Pre covid mind you..

I worked at a grocery store bakery back in the day, they're definitely all frozen. I don't think we have any good donuts outside the boutique shops now that krispy kreme departed (which was very unfortunate btw).

One of life's simplest and greatest pleasures... Safeway donuts.

Been eating them since I was little and still love them.

Well yeah. You take them out of the freezer and drop em in the fryer. That's how it's done.

Tim Hortons coffee is a hot beverage with many coffee like characteristics. The profuse sweating and diarrhea are considered normal by those who drink it regularly.

The only donuts worth having in Calgary are mini donuts

Better than Timmies then. All they do is defrost and put whatever glaze/filling. Nothing is prepared fresh. Deep frying previously flash frozen dough is better than not.
