Default Black Friday 2019 - Deals, watch-lists and discussion

Good centralized place to post deals as you see them, or things you are watching for. This year, I have a couple family members who have asked me to buy them some things.

    Google Pixel 3A and 3A XL - $150 off - I'll be grabbing a 3A XL for my wife
Need a "dumb" 42" TV for a senior citizen.
Tracking the Netgear Orbi RBK53 3-piece set. Regularly see it for $599, would love to get it for $499.
Need an RJ45 terminating kit. Lots of cheap one son Amazon every day, but would be tickled if I got a "better" one for a decent deal.

I've got the RJ45 tool if you'd like to borrow it, you'd just need to pick up the terminals or whatever one calls them. It probably would be considered a better one.
    Will fuck off, again.

I'm hoping to see the new Nvidia Shield Pro on sale, but am not holding my breath seeing as how it's sold out almost everywhere.

I am buying a whole bunch of things for the new house like TV's and furniture etc so if someone sees any good deals please post. For TV I am thinking 75" smart TV of some kind. I understand Samsung's are good ones but I am open.

OnePlus, $200 off the 6T and the 7 Pro. I just placed an order for a 7 Pro, since it's now cheaper than the 7T.

I'm keeping an eye out on Telus/Bell plans for my in-laws, a few items on Amazon, and some apparel from a company in Edmonton, and another from LA.

Beam is pretty great. Typically goes on for $440 iirc. Good features and much more up to date than the playbar as well. Can add rear speakers or a sub down the road as well which is nice but $$$.

I'm going to be looking for one of those dyson heaters/purifiers/fans this year.

Sounds good, thanks dude. She's low maintenance, she's apparently on a super cheap $25-35 Bell plan, but she's on a family plan with my BIL, who wants to get off of it, so I'm not sure what weird math she's using. But she barely uses the thing to text and call, so a minimal plan is all she needs. I'll fire you a message if nothing good comes up.

A lot of the good deals expire on the 21st so I imagine end of this week we'll see the black friday deals rolling out.

Been watching Fido tablet page to see if they drop the Ipad gen 6 with LTE, but if anyone sees any other BF plans, let me know.

I just looked into Public Mobile "Telus", it looks like most of their BYOD packages are 3G for data vs the standard current LTE... I'll have to do some reading into the differences of the two technologies...

Public mobile uses LTE they just throttle you to "3G speed" ... but its still faster than what 3G was because the network itself is better, if that makes sense.

For most things it makes no real difference. Maybe webpages load a hair slower or an app update takes a bit longer.

There's a lot of good reading in the "cellphone plans" thread. I went from knowing nothing about them to being a huge beliver. If you have specific questions PM me, don't need to clutter up this thread. But short story, I highly recommend them. Probably they'll run ar eferral bonus for Black Friday too, although I haven't heard of it yet.
