^That's crazy, it's a Tower Cleaners dry cleaner now haha. I'd like to think I could have figured it out too living near by but that's easy to say after the fact, but 2 heads, yeah you might have had a damn good shot. I wish the 2nd one was in Lakeview, damn.

Most of the clues are not clever at all, pretty stupid/superficial to be honest. I was hoping for something with a little bit more substance, maybe some historical research/meaning or some triangulation, but hey, I didn’t put up the $100k so cant complain!

Anyone who was expecting "National Treasure" level clues clearly didn't know who was putting this thing on

People are complaining en masse and asking for specific locations to be revealed, as the areas reported by Gold Hunt for where the treasures were found were all explored in depth. People think they dug up the two treasures after Edmonton's quick win so that they could prolong it. Ballsy if they did, but people more than likely are just salty.

I could see the entire thing being a scam, I mean, it would be very easy to pull off. The “answers” and justification they provided for the clues is so vague that I guarantee there are multiple areas that could “fit” with similar shitty justifications as well as Lakeview did. They put these clues up and don’t even hide a treasure then their buddy from Edmonton “finds” it. This guy who won in Calgary was so unconcerned that he apparently knew exactly where the certificate was hidden but went home, slept, and came back the next day - seems extremely fishy. Again - I’m just a bystander as I don’t even live in Calgary, it would just be so damn easy to scam something like this.

Why would you risk going to jail for fraud, in an attempt to make an extra 100k by not paying out the prize in a challenge you already made bank on? I guess greed is a hell of a drug for some people.

The clues for Edmonton were fairly pathetic too. Ford dealership, four points hotel, Wendy's, and a Tim Hortons. Nothing historically relevant or interesting about Edmonton itself.

A knock off of a company run by career low brow salesmen. lol.

I like how they post your raw credit card details directly to their own server for "verification". No 3rd party payment like the Stripe SDK. All on a page with a mixed content warning, loading an image file off a shady looking foreign site.

    Classy work fellas.

The same reason Jessica Rabbit is as well I'd presume.

Latest one of these gold hunts starts tomorrow in Edmonton. Haven't found anyone online discussing the hints yet. Maps have been available for awhile now.
