I've been WFH since March of last year and love it. I've been downtown about 6 times for various meetings and to pick stuff up but I do not miss the commute at all. I got an email yesterday from HR at the company I am seconded too saying we will be WFH for them until at least April if things go in 3 week increments.

Ideally I'd do 1 day downtown for meetings and 4 days at home. But realistically I am going to do what ever they pay me for with my preferred situation being WFH.

Alberta gov. released something that said the WFH order is in effect until hospitalizations reach 150 or fewer cases, so I assume we're home until then.

Always been full time at "office" which has had outbreak status for a long time now. Covid so thick in the air you can chew it. lol, jk, it's really not that bad.

    80% home, 10% office, 10% field - facilities O&G

It's certainly nice being home some days... i can't wrap my head around maniacs who want to WFH forever that were previously based downtown.

Do you hate all your colleagues? Do you know no one downtown / at work? Have you ever gone for a post work beer?

I've been WFH since March 2020, are there days I'd like to get out of here? For sure, however being able to see and be with my 1 year old while she grows and develops has been incredible, I missed out on my oldest as I was in the office so didn't get to experience milestones like first steps, first words, etc
    Are you me? haha

this is exactly my situation to a T, even with a 1 yr old daughter and an older 3 yr old. COVID sucks but being home for pretty much her entire life so far has been amazing and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Been exactly a year since I travelled anywhere for work, I usually travel about 50% of the year. Working from home most days, go to work if I need to work on equipment. Going for an 8 day site trip this Thursday for Suncor (not looking forward to it - 12 hour days/-40 outside/nothing to do in lodge because they have shutdown all activities)

Working from home from Florida, could be worse. Do wish I was working from the office on some days. Was traveling within the US for work the last quarter, but haven't done anything so far in 2021 and don't really plan on it.

I was spending 1 day a week in the office starting from September, but then the new restrictions were put in place and been WFH since.

Warms my heart to see this after your experience the past few years, been a dark few weeks.

I have a good buddy who does something similar and he really loves it.

I really appreciate that man. It's been quite a downgrade in pay and responsibilities from what I'm used to, but it's a site with easily 15 years planned out and obvious corporate transitions upward. And my off days I can work on my photography biz

You need to be putting your energy into your onlyfans channel. The content on there is not fresh enough for what you charge. I'm considering cancelling my subscription.

Unfortunately closed on the weekend until they find a new location, probably April/May. I ordered a couple pies Saturday for their last night.

    What were we talking about?

My work situation has me on a zoom call with a new exotic location every a few days. Tonight, Uzbekistan. Weird.
