    Default Dressy Winter Coats

What are you guys using for winter coats?
For years have been rocking just a North Face - but in a more public role now, looking to step it up a bit lol.

I checked out the Bay and nothing really jumped out... Then went to Harry Rosen, and the option i liked was $1900 lol. What's a good compromise on cost and style?

Whats a dressy winter coat look like?

Grabbed a Alpinetek Canada Goose rep winter parka from Sears online when it was on sale a few years back. Best $99 I ever spent. Jacket is warm af when its -45.

Nordstrom is a pretty good happy medium. I have a Boss pea coat that has served me well (only caveat is the sleeve liner tears which has happened to a few people I know). Think it was 700? Pretty much any peacoat will work doesn’t have to be a particular brand.

I also rock a Canada Goose Lodge bomber for day to day which I really like. Pricey for what it is but not puke inducing like the parkas, 500?

I also have the hugo boss coat. It's nice, but that sleeve liner tear happened to me too :/ it's pretty warm though - warmer than my stupid canada goose bomber

I went to Curtis Elliot and got custom made pea coat. It's sick. Has English cuffs, looks really sharp. I also have a Hugo Boss winter coat. It has better coverage than my custom coat, really warm, but not as nicely fit. I think this is the one.

Anyone can get a BOSS coat, but you got to earn your Patagonia patch.

Oof. We got a badass over here...

Remember kids, it’s not a real coat unless it has been banned by British Primary schools.

I have a mid length Michael Kors peacoat with a liner, seems pretty decently warm. Can be had about 250 or less depending where you find it.

I splurged on a London Fog brand from the bay many years ago. It's large enough to fit over a suit jacket, but weirdly the sleeves are a hair short so the suit jacket pokes out. Only wear it like five times a year, so I live with it.

Bay days right now so some of thier stuff is pretty decently discounted.

Go to Less17, and grab a Nanamica, or Stone Island. They sell out fast though.
Be warned, none of that gaudy Moncler, and while there's some NF (purple label, if you're lucky), none of that dorky skier shit.

Good Choice. LF has some good looking designs.

This is solid advice, unless you’re buying this coat for work. Stone island and nanamica are casual/streetwear fashion brands. Most of what they make would look ridiculous with a suit. Perfect to pair with a supreme hoodie and some old skools though.
