Yea, zero surprise, especially against Lewis. There were a lot of Max defenders last year but nothing to defend now that he's admitted that's what he does lol. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If his competitors don't drive defensively and he keeps getting penalized, maybe he'll change? It's tough in a championship fight because challenging his bullying ends up worse for the driver.

It all makes more sense once you realize F1 isn’t a sport, it’s a Netflix Soap Opera.

Technically he's only a 1 time WDC since 2006 doesn't count since it's not a sport.

Oh, I've been saying this for awhile. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
He was doing it to Hamilton for basically the whole of last year, knowing that Hamilton wants that WDC and the only way he can win it is by finishing races. He was getting away with it too for the most part, but the time Hamilton didn't, Silverstone happened.

Expected when you see them release statements like this:
https://www.redbullracing.com/int-en...eing%20relayed.As a team we made some mistakes in Brazil. We had not envisaged the situation that unfolded on the last lap and we had not agreed a strategy for such a scenario before the race. Regretfully, Max was only informed at the final corner of the request to give up position without all the necessary information being relayed. This put Max, who has always been an open and fair team player, in a compromising situation with little time to react which was not our intention. Following the race Max spoke openly and honestly, allowing for both drivers to resolve any outstanding issues or concerns. The Team accept Max's reasoning, the conversation was a personal matter which will remain private between the team and no further comment will be made.
It's like they don't know we have access to team radios and clearly hear them talk about this shit well before the "final corner" and how it was "too late". Max really has them by the balls and RBR has to do whatever he says lol.
The entire team, management and their driver (except Checo) is an absolute shit show. That's what you got for letting a fucking energy drink team be a team on its own. There should be a rule that the main sponsor/team name gotta be an automotive manufacturer or something...it's fucking F1 after all.
I don't think it's red bull the brands fault. Look at Horner. He's an absolute snake who will win by any means necessary. His attitude and values as the leader are gonna filter down.
Boom, Ricciardo back to Red Bull! Hope he gets some seat time!

RBR has been an F1 team longer than Mercedes. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

So long as you ignore all the Mercedes teams before the year 2010, and ignore the fact that brawn is literally the same team, I suppose that’s correct

You mean in 1954-1955? When Mercedes pulled out because of the Silver Arrow incident, and didn't come back until 2010?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Whereas Red Bull has been its own team since 2005?

Actually, Mercedes bought out Ilmor in the mid 90's, which basically became MBHPE on the engine side of the equation. Their goal was to start a team, and McLaren became the works team for Mercedes. Although on paper only an engine partner, in practice they funded and ran McLaren throughout that whole era. Norbert Haug was basically co team principal with Ron Dennis. The reason Hamilton even made it to F1 was because of Mercedes pushing McLaren to do so, and backing his funding 50/50. McLaren still takes all the credit for it tho haha. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The fallout with McLaren came when MB wanted to make it official and buy out the rest of McLaren, but McLaren refused and wanted to stay independent. Coupled with recession, Honda pulling out, Brawn not knowing their future, they parted ways with McLaren and bought Brawn and started from scratch, so to speak.
So while unofficial, I'd say modern Mercedes has been around as a team since the mid-late 90's, and 2010 was a reset/rebuild from scratch.

I wouldn't say it was from scratch. The dominance they saw early on was on the shoulders of the Honda/Brawn GP aero design, but it took a while for them to get the team structure right. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
You could also say that Red Bull was in Formula one as a title sponsor for Sauber since 1994 till they bought Jaguar in 2004.
This is almost entirely irrelevant. The name on the car doesn't matter. It's not as if Adrian Newey is a Red Bull flavor tester that worked his way up the ranks and found himself promoted to a race car builder. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Dominance? Mercedes were terrible in 2010 and 2011, and only started improving in 2012. 2009 brawn had no money and had huge brain drain during the season, and sold a shell of a team to Mercedes. Brawn nly looked successful in the end due to their early dominance behind ahead with double diffuser, and everyone caught up by the 2nd half of the season. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I know we're just disagreeing on semantics here, and really it doesn't matter at all, but my point was like you said, RBR was a sponsor. Mercedes was effectively running a team under the McLaren-Mercedes name. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
shakalaka's comment is irrelevant, just wanted to get understanding of history straight haha.

Mods, could you setup a safe space subforum for all of those poor souls that are triggered by Max and RBR.
#grownmencryngoverMax
#GOAT
Being triggered is the whole point of a soap opera.
