    Low tier Atlas.

Keep third row folded down. Lots of room in that one.
This. Or just buy a second pickup truck.

I feel like selling the wife’s navigator and getting her a sweet 2000 Grand caravan. Just got back from sking and it’s so crowded in the navigator, it’s better than the truck though. We have the epic vw alltrack it’s fine but with three kids I’m there is to many car seats. Solution sell the navigator get the wife a mini van, sell the alltrack get a truck. Keep rs4 forever. Haha.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

This is a sneaky good choice. Looks much more "high end" than other things in this list, and does have good interior room. You can even get a comfort line trim and be out the door for $50k including tax.

We love our explorer. Even the lower trim levels are well equipped, have plenty of power, and it'll seat 7, when properly equipped.

It might not be a "car" @ExtraSlow , but since SUV, minivans, trucks are tossed in the topic now. Consider a Chevrolet Express Van 1500. I've seen real men haul all their Costco needs, weekend fence maintenance items from Windsor plywood, while seating their 3 wives, 6 children comfortably and safetly. I see on IG there's movements converting them into 4x4 awd as well

Used Suburban or Yukon XL. You won't even need a pickup to tow the trailer with.

Minivan- like the ones half of us on here grew up with lol.

Car's have shifted to SUVs. Toyota Highlander fits the bill.
Though a horary mention of a Honda CRV must be said.. especially as its overtaken... Mercedes.......

genuinely poor people (like me) can't buy new cars so used from a shady dealership is the only way to go

I've always sort of liked the idea of a Ford Taurus SHO with the Ecoboost, but that's no longer available new...I thought those came in at right around 50k give or take

I see the Mustang Mach-E starts at 50.5, worth considering?

I gave them some serious thought. Too many catastrophic failures coming from owners on the FB group.

My buddy has a Chevy Blazer. It's big and cheap. I fell asleep in the back comfortably. Definitely a good choice for poor ppl edition.

Remember when every family had a grand marquis or a cutlass or something? Ahh those were the days.

Anywhoooo, in 2022, what truly "large family cars" still exist. Whatever "format" you want, just needs to seat at least 5 plus enough luggage for a decent road trip, and cost under $50,000 so it's affordable for poor people.
Like Kia K5, or Sorrento, Honda Accord, Ford Explorer, that kind of thing.
I mean I'd love a long and low wagon to make this list, but don't think that's happening.

What's the biggest "family" car these days? What's the best? I'm sure this thread will just be arguments, but I find it entertaining.
Unfortunately the Ford Flex was probably the last that fit this description, and it wasn't half bad with the ecoboost

    Minivan?

I too grew up with a Capris Station Wagon, 240 Wagon and 740 Wagon with the jump seat. Oh the good ole days

In laws put a deposit on a new Atlas Crosssport (5 seater) Highline (2nd from top trim) that's expected in a month or two. Pretty much every single option out there except 360 camera which the top trim has. Digital cockpit and everything is included in this option and it came to 57K all-in after negotiations (which weren't easy to do). Anyway, great option for that price point.
