I thought it was interesting after reading about this track and the designer that this video came up on my feed.

The owners will make sure the track is being used as many hours a year as possible. If they can't do that with memberships and renting to clubs, they'd be crazy not to set up some public access days.

It’s how most tracks work... even RC and castrol... days are usually hard to book as a “club” at these track between events and everything else going on so track charge a good rate for daily and half day rentals then the clubs are there to break that down to a per user cost. Wtf would the track bother with that when they can get a 100% sure income on their days, rain or shine and the clubs can gamble on running at a loss or not if attendance is subparThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. So looks like construction should begin this month based on emails I recently received.
Whissell has already been working on it for a few months from what my friends have told me
Anyone in line for a membership, or thinking about a car condo?
Hoping to get a day in with our club late this year if it’s paved.
Odd, I just took this picture of the site and it's still just a field full of stubble. Absolutely no signs of any work being doneThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The most Westerly section of the track is where that clump of trees on the left is and the grade slopes away from where you are, so if there is something going on it would be nearly hard to see from where you took that photo. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I drove by the whole site (west side, north side, east side), nothing going on.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Drove by again this afternoon on my way home and the only thing out of place in the field are short wood stakes with orange ribbons on them. Otherwise no visible signs of work being done there. Farmer was actually still harvesting some of last year's crop.
Speedog with the short report on Rockyview Motorsport Park.
Thanks for the photo proof!
Speedog is just pushing his anti-construction agenda funded by the rockerfellers. Don't believe the propaganda.

Hope this gets built without delay. This will be a great post COVID-19 activity and entertainment since nobody will be travelling far for a very long time.
Look at all the benefits in this pandemic!
- Outdoor activity
- Easy to keep social distance
- Driving own car (too bad no more getting rides in other people's car)
- Short drive to get out of the city
- Keep racing off the streets! (thinking of it, police all over the world must be hurting with major decline in ticket revenue since very few people are driving, I wonder how they will survive)
- Even spectating would be fun
Really hope there's still money from the group to build this. I think it will be more successful with everyone staying in the province.
Keep racing off of the streets? What is really needed to accomplish this is a drag strip. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yes and no. While drag racing is fun I enjoy track racing more. Track racing to me will tell you more about yourself and your car than running a 12 second lap repeatedly. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
But the street racing crowd is mostly about drag racing each other, they're not out there after hours doing laps in some industrial area. It's all about who can outrun the other in a straight line - Race City had their secret street and that was all about drags and it was attractive to the street racing crowd. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. And then they would all meet up at Timmy’s/gas king after and street race the night awayThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
They have access to 1/2 mile racing and have for a while, they still enjoy the thrill of high speed stony runs
Street racers will race, but having a road course is a large bonus for a lot of us. It also keeps more money local as we spend less going to Edmonton or BC to attend events.
