    "The city owes you NOTHING!"

If they owe nothing, then I guess the home owners don't owe the city anything in taxes either.

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

You would think they were selling Michael Jackson tickets.

Parking lot is empty, or at least doesn't match to amount of people lined up. Everyone walked there or something?

    Texas, circa July 2021......

But really, it's a city with half the population of Hinton. Does it really matter? What can a small town mayor do?

I'm surprised no one has blamed 5G or China for all of these problems.

HAARP weather modification. Which if you believe, China stole the technology from the USA.

Store probably is only taking in half or less capacity on covid restrictions. Still, never expected the day to see Texans line up, outside, as a pedestrian, in the snow, for basic groceries. Its like the matrix did a complete 180.

Solid headline: $900 to charge a Tesla

    https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-G...la-To-900.html
It could read $1 to charge a Tesla or $1,000,000 to charge a Tesla. Result is the same. 0 charged Teslas.

Just like blaming renewable as the problem, let's blame 5 board members out FIFTEEN that doesn't live in Texas. WTF does the other 10 (the majority) do?

Having seen how politicians meddle with AESO and IESO on varies estimate and forecast (as in they are tailor built for the political climate instead of reality), I am not surprised Texas got to where they are. We are probably waiting for that 1 in 100 year event to have the same thing happen to us.

According to the same article, Texas had cold weather in 2011 and none of the recommendations from a report detailing the failings then were ever implemented. Seems to be a prevailing attitude that they don't give a fuck.

If you leave decision making to the individuals, they will always choose the lowest cost option without thinking about the full picture.

Think of all the crashes on those Texan highways and victims find out most only carry min 30/60/25 liability coverage.

I like how he made it sound like his plan was just to escort his daughter to Mexico and turned right back around to be with the people

In all honesty, given the chance and after taking the Covid shot: I would have taken a vacation in Mexico too to avoid a week of winter. Not gonna lie.

Republican stranglehold Texas is going to have a hard time trying to twist a boil water for the state. People abandoning California for Texas, people abandoning Texas for ?

Always said that right and left didn't really matter much. I can imagine this will tempt millions to abandon Texas. I've said it before, what good is money if you have to drink poopwater?

https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/19/weath...day/index.html 13 million under boil water (if you have power to do it) advisory.
