I just bought a frigidaire 'gallery' fridge and dishwasher, and an LG stove.

Hopefully i can get half a decade out of em.

Appliance guys seemed to think Frigidaire was a solid brand

My personal top tip for any dishwasher is to make sure it has a "quick rinse" setting. I didn't realize how often I used that until my new one didn't have it. I like to rinse pots and pans before I hand-wash them, or rise a load before I run it overnight.
My wife swears the new dishwasher doesn't work as well as the old one, but then again, she packs it fuller than I do, and runs on the "normal" setting while I use heavy-duty. Figure since it's running overnight, who cares if it takes an extra hour?

My wife loads the dishwasher like she chucked everything in from across the room, I'm forever rearranging stuff to fit more than 10 dishes.

The fridge that came with our house has the serial/model number stickers hacked out with an exacto knife and is dented on the bottom resulting in one door not staying all the way open on it's own. I'm guessing it was a 'fell off the truck' deal, where do people get these? Still works though so no rush to replace.

Try a different cycle. Only the default cycle requires energy saving measures.
You don’t think I’ve tried em all? Shit, the longest cycle is like 4h and still can’t clean caked on cheese.

Compared to the old dishwasher where the strongest cycle is an hour but drains 1/2 of Arbour lake to do it.

Mini update to mine, Kitchen appliances are about 6-7 years old and washer/dryer is 4 years though that includes the previous owners.

    Bosch fridge review:
    1) The plastic water line started to leak last year but that's not the fridge itself. Replaced with a stainless braided line.
    2) The door sensor occasionally doesn't seem to register. I'll open the fridge and the inside light doesn't turn on. Just close the door and reopen it and it's fine. Only happens maybe once every month or two.
    3) Wifi still works solid, sends reminders to home assistant then to my phone if someone leaves the door or freezer open. Also remote notifications incase a power outage or temps start to fail

    Samsung dryer / washer:
    1) Wifi works pretty good, also sends home assistant push notifications for when laundry is done and reminders after set amount of time
    2) Had to repair the dryer due to a failed bearing on the belt loop, 30$ part
    3) Small plastic hinge on the lint tray cracked but it still functions fine and haven't had to replace it

    Bosch in-cabinet dishwasher:
    1) Wifi notifications work great
    2) Functionally no issues but it still annoys me it wants me to open it to vent the hot air out after it finishes its cycle. Wish it had some kind of vent as it's annoying if I start the dishwasher as I'm going to bed then it's beeping at 1am. Can avoid it by delay start but often forget

    Kitchenaid stovetop:
    1) Overall still works great, love the gas burners and easy to clean
    2) Minor issue but one of the burner, occasionally, will keep triggering the igniter every few minutes for a second or two. No idea why and it's only that burner but one I rarely use anyways

My front load Samsung washer and dryer have lasted over 14 years without even a hiccup and just sold them with the house still working great. Has an LG fridge and stove that crapped out in 5 years and replaced with Samsung and those were still going strong years later.

I have had no issues with Samsung appliances in my life, especially considering the price point.

The older Samsung stuff is fine, I think because they weren't popular back then.

Have the working remotely going well so currently in the South Similkameen in BC assessing our future living options... Capitalized on high selling values and now just watching the market deciding where to eventually land.

I had all Samsung appliances. The main problem is the fridge. ice maker problems as Rage said, needs to be defrosted with a hairdryer every month. The fucking handle bar wouldnt keep in place, needs to be put back on every month. Gas stove is fine, other than its a fucking pain to clean. Diskwasher is used the asian way, for drying only. so no problem there. We do like the washer and dryer tho.

    Dont be poor, get Wolf/Subzero.

This is us. We decide who does a better job. Some stuff that is large or barely dirty I wash by hand instead of taking up half the dish washer.

Replaced our old GE dishwasher last year with an LG as Bosch items were back ordered. It does a good job but if we didn't have to get a new one quickly the Bosch would have been a great choice.

Got a Frigidaire induction oven recently. Had great review and we are enjoying it.

Next is the fridge which is old but still working. Look at an LG 25 cu.

I'm hearing others say "Bosch made in Germany = awesome, but now they make some in Mexico and they are crap".
    *Dishwashers

I didn't know this was a thing, but I have seen some that are much cheaper than I previously recall.

Agreed! Our dishwasher rarely actually gets the dishes dry because it just doesn't run the element long enough in an effort to be more energy efficient. Its a piss off
We got a Miele this time around. Yes, twice the price, but I never have to rewash anything and shit is dry.

My new Bosch has an extra dry cycle which seems to help.
