Default Hand tool rubber grip replacement/repair

So over time I've got a few hand tools on which the rubber handle grip has been torn. Sort of a pita to use these tools as the handles now feel awkward.

As such, has anyone used the Plasti Dip Liquid to make a new tool handle grip? Reviews I've seen are mixed on the Plasti Dip Liquid as a grip surface and it's durability.

So are there other products out there, please note that I want to purchase this locally. Industrial Paint and Plastics maybe?

Tool example, a FastCap flush cut pliers - at $30+ I'd like to repair/replace the grips...

Sugru would be perfect for that.

    https://sugru.com/

I don't know where you might find it locally, but you can order it off of Amazon.

I have some and it's awesome for that sort of stuff.

This is what I was leaning towards, muliple coatings and easy to redo. I will contact IP&P tomorrow to see what solutions they may have. I suppose tapes are an option but I want to have a seamless grip that can't unravel and a dip seems to be the best solution.

That tape I posted binds to itself and for sure will not unravel. Marvelous stuff.

You can buy replacement grips for Klein tools, I'm sure they would fit most hand tools.

Well, I picked up a can of the Plasti Dip stuff at Canadian Tire and finally got around to trying the stuff out this weekend.

Not a bad product and the results seem not bad
The redone handle feels nice in one's hand, durability I'll know in a little bit, I'll give it a day or two to really set up and then I'll do some torture testing.

TIL plastidip is an actual dip product, and not just the spray cans.

lol, yeah it didnt even come in spray until DIYers started thinning it out and spraying it.. then plastidip created a new market, essentially creating removable rubber paint.

The Plasti Dip handle is working out fine. Got a few other tools to do. The can of Plasti Dip is not cheap at $24.99 at Canadian Tire but it will fix quite a number of tool handles so on a per handle grip replacement basis it is quite economical.
