I dunno man, sounds like she just doesn't feel like she can voice her opinion but she is blaming it on the "hyper-sensitive social media environment".
Why not blame them but still voice your opinion and not care? It's not like she is for white supremacy or a pedo.
Not really different from a comedian, except she's never funny or as interesting.

I don't mind her decision for stepping off the platform, but I do have an issue with the way she worded her reasoning.

I used to help run a few FB groups, and I quit pretty quickly too. I was threatened physically (I don't care much about that), but, they tried to drag my job into it for simply moderating a community group and that was the big straw that broke the camel's back for me. I don't care if you agree with me or not, but talk it out. The SJW standard MO has been that if you find something offensive, the first line of attack is a person's ability to provide for themselves and their families. I get what she is saying, and don't blame her one bit. I have pulled WAY back on social media and what not. It's just not worth it.

But that's just me.

I don’t need a lot of reasons to dislike someone. But she really put a nail in the coffin of my opinion of her with the floor crossing and what the resulting political fallout did to our province.

So, like what kind of topics really? I can't think of one that would "destroy your career" unless you were against science or not backing your views with real substance.

I know it's not that simple as I may be making it out to be, but at the same time I don't really get it either.

Working for a media outlet you have to toe the line. Maybe she had enough and wants to break free.

That being said I hope she is smart enough not to make a return to politics.

I dont disagree with her stance nor would I argue with anyone who's concerned about freedom of speech or the mob mentality. If people are afraid to speak their mind thats a major problem.

I'm genuinely curious what topics were too sensitive to discuss on radio.

If Danielle's goal is to get back into politics then getting off the radio makes sense. Look how ryan jespersen lost his job recently. He called a city employee a monkey or chimpanzee and he was fired that day.

I can't say I'm surprised and I agree with a lot of her statement. I wouldn't do that job so I'm not critical when someone else doesn't want to do it either. The mob mentality / cancel culture has gotten so far out of hand in Western society that I would have no interest in any position that is in the public eye. You'd have to be a fool to want to run for public office in this day and age and that is why we only have low-quality people across the board in all levels of government from Ottawa all the way down to your local school board trustee.

I don't care where she's going, I think her husband is a lawyer so maybe they've got enough money where they're going to just fuck off to an island somewhere and be done with the shit-stain public life is.
