Interesting. So, other than morals, what's stopping someone who hits you from behind claiming that they were rear ended and the guy took off so they won't have an at-fault insurance claim raising their rates (of course their rear bumper would already need to be damaged)? I guess so, a good old he said/she said mess, yuck. Insurance companies have probably seen enough of those BS claims to tell which ones are really BS.
