If only the Justice Minister was aware of the recognized and correct avenues of liaising with the police.
No. Instead, direct BatDial to Commissioner Gordon.

Well then if he is the justice minister and he's being accused of something that he didn't do. He just said fuck it and paid. What hope do we schmucks have? But let's pull the race card to teach them a lesson. Right that will do.

In the question of a politician abusing power vs police abusing power.

    That’s a tough one

To be frank, he still earns salary. He just got less work now on his plate, a win-win.

This seems like a stupid story for something that happened a year ago. If this is all true, I think the guy had a valid reason to bitch. He just went about it the wrong way and got caught (a year later).

What valid reason was there to direct to the chief..?

To ask if the EPS were stalking him, and why a black man can't just use his phone while driving in a school zone without attracting attention from racist cops.

"Due to the timing of the incident, I wanted to ensure that I was not being unlawfully surveilled following the controversy surrounding the Lethbridge Police Service. I also raised concerns around profiling of racial minorities that was in the media at the time.

"Chief McFee assured me that that was most definitely not the case, and I accepted him at his word."
That almost sounds like a threat to the chief, trying to call EPS racist.

I bet he didn't clear his response with Kenney, getting sacked for it.

The question is does declaring mutiny on Kenney and replacing your captain save the ship from sinking?

I hear the best way to gather in the moderate and undecided votes is public infighting.

He’s still justice minister. They just have someone else doing the job.

Maybe he should phone the PM and use some pull to get back into cabinet.

He wouldn't do that. He would just ask if he's losing his cabinet position because he's black.

That would probably actually work on Trudeau.

My bad. I should've phrased it:

"Maybe he should phone the PM and use some pull to get black into cabinet."

A bad look for sure, and not a great way to start off her leadership among other issues.
