Default Avoiding forest fire smoke - driving distance travel options

Have a camping trip to Nakusp planned for a week from now, and given how the thick forest fire smoke affects two members of my family, I'm looking at other options. Doesn't have to be camping. Hotels fine too.

Suggestions of places to go within about 9 hours drive of Calgary that will have less smoke
Or places that have more indoor activities? Spending all day in the smoke today would probably put me in the hospital.

It's pretty far, can't even see the sun in Saskatoon today from it. Last weekend I was on Waskesiu and Creen lakes and you couldn't see across them at all.

Whitefish is awesome, but isn't it about the same smoke level?

Shoot, you're right I was looking at a forecast a little further east from there.

Its better than here, but its still not great for anyone with sensitivities.

I head down there next weekend as well.

Doesn't matter as there's lots of fires in Washington and Oregon, they don't need to import smoke.
    Will fuck off, again.

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

Don't worry, he doesn't believe in climate change, so no eco-tax.

Just finished camping at Nakusp hot springs and area for a week it was clear and sunny plus the drive from Nakusp to cherryville was clear skies. Might be different now pending on the wind direction
