Yup, just got word from MB Canada 2 mins ago. Fingers crossed we're getting the AMG too. Unveil is this morning in Amsterdam. Stoked.

    Probably MY2020, a year later.

I would in a heartbeat. We don't have deep enough snow where we need the extra ride height from the GLA. To be honest, the ride height differences between A and GLA (current gen) is minimal. edit - just talking about AMG version. Huge ride height differences between base A and GLA.

The A looks way sportier, mostly because of a lack of the SUV like mouldings of the GLA. The only reason I went GLA was because the A wasn't available here. It was as close to an A45 as I could get.

End of the day, we have options here in Canada. A or GLA, fucking win.

I would also take A over GLA.

2020 isn’t so bad. It’s a bit early for something new right now. 2020 might be just about right,

I feel like an A is a bad complement to my C though. Both are too similar and the A is only really more practical because of awd.

Now pair an A with an AMG GT, like buster did, that might work out just about right.

    you know you want to.

I'd take the GLA over the A. The slightly move "suv" aspect of the GLA is appreciated by me. Even a minimal increase in the height and approach angle is nice to have.

That's a huge surprise considering the US isn't getting it. I could keep my Golf R till then, and switch to the A53/60 or whatever the AMG version will be.

Also confirmed, it's got the full semi-autonomous driving suite from the S-Class as an available option which integrates GPS data as well as using the cameras and radars.

Yea. That's been known for a while now (see the MFA2 thread).

I suspect at this point it's probably not a lot more costly to do that, than a bunch of mechanical gauges.

Looks great, and should arrive just as I need to renew my lease I don't know what the pricing is but I won't be surprised if even with the base motor you can get these up to $50K which might rule them out for me.

The headlights look a bit downsy.

You can thank CETA for that. Auto safety regulations will be merged.

The third area of the agreement affecting autos relates to cooperation on auto standards and motor vehicle regulation. The Annex on Cooperation in the Field of Motor Vehicle Regulations under the Chapter includes a listing of 17 United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN ECE) safety standards that, by the Agreement’s coming into force, Canada has incorporated, in whole or in part, as allowable alternatives within its safety standards. These UN ECE standards do not compromise the safety or integration of the North American auto manufacturing market. The Parties also agreed to a work plan that will see Canada evaluate a number of additional UN ECE standards to determine whether it can incorporate them into Canadian regulations as allowable options within existing Canadian standards.
Maybe we will finally get multibeam headlights:

I remember you mentioning this a while ago, but I didn't think we'd see this much progress so quickly. I'm excited.
