no kidding lol. i picture HiTemp as the guy taking any opportunity he can to complain that he can't say Merry Christmas any more even though it's not actually a real thing.
I thought this was BS too when I heard people complaining about it. But my friends that have kids in school assure me it's a real thing. They can't post up any Merry Christmas stuff at schools.

Must depend on the school and principal. My kids schools all post and discuss Christmas.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

Beats me, I never went to confirm. After the brain washing propaganda I saw on the walls of the school I went to vote at, I didn't even think to question it when they told me there is no Merry Christmas stuff anymore.

Guess they should change the lyrics to this song to say "let me please see that thong"

too lazy to go digging to find examples, but I know I have seen a LOT of interviews of old couples who have been married for like 50-60+ years or whatever and the woman relates with laughter how many times she told her husband "no" and he kept bugging her until she relented and finally said yes...
My favorite example is the current white NY mayor relentlessly hounding his black lesbian co-worker, crossing the metoo line. They even brought it up when #metoo was picking up steam because the media tried to frame him for harassing his wife in the movement.

Speaking of NY, talk about shooting yourself in the foot with the #metoo movement.

You know what's fucking crazy.. like 4 weeks ago I was driving home and I flipped onto the Sirius XM station for Christmas to check if it was active yet. It was active, so I programmed it to a favorite now for the season. The song playing at the time was this 'baby its cold outside' song and I let it play though....

Half way into the song I literally thought to myself "I wonder how long until SJW's complain about this song this year?"

2018 is the year of the SJW. Literally that's all I can think of. It seems this year more than EVER before we've seen SO much complaining/ things getting censored due to this. What the fuck!

Eh, I'm a feminist and I see both sides of this. The lyrics at face value are a little creepy. But the song was created in a time that social expectations and men's perceived authority over women were pretty cut and dry. Both of those make this song a weird combo of 'is it that he is crossing a line or is it that society will slut shame her for staying with a guy she likes that makes this song creepy?' It's a bit blurry. The only lines in this song that really bug me are 'the answer is no' and 'what's in this drink?' If you don't think too much about it beyond the time this song comes from, it's not really that big of a deal. I don't think it should be banned, so it's not all feminists that feel this song is that over the line. If it bugs you, turn the station.

People need to quit pushing modern values onto something that existed what 74 years ago. Its just stupid and idiotic.

Let it be, move on and find something else to bitch and moan about.

More Christmas songs that should get the axe...

    1. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus: subjecting minors to softcore porn, condones cheating

    2. The Christmas Song: Open fire? Pollution. Folks dressed up like Eskimos? Cultural appropriation

    3. Holly Jolly Christmas: Kiss her once for me? Unwanted advances

    4. White Christmas? Racist

    5. Santa Claus is Coming to Town: Sees you when you’re sleeping? Knows when you’re awake? Peeping Tom stalker

    6. Most Wonderful Time of the Year: Everyone telling you be of good cheer? Forced to hide depression

    7. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: Bullying

    8. It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas: Forced gender-specific gifts: dolls for Janice and Jen and boots and pistols (GUNS!) for Barney and Ben

    9. Santa Baby: Gold digger, blackmail

    10. Frosty the Snowman: Sexist; not a snow woman

    11. Do You Hear What I Hear: blatant disregard for the hearing impaired

    12. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas: Make the yuletide GAY? Wow, just wow

    13. Jingle Bell Rock: Giddy up jingle horse, pick up your feet: animal abuse

    14. Mistletoe and Holly: Overeating, folks stealing a kiss or two? How did this song ever see the light of day?

    15. Winter Wonderland: Parson Brown demanding they get married…forced partnership

    16. I'll Be Home For Christmas: Not if you are homeless. That's just Insensitive

    17. Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer: Homicide

    18. Little Drummer Boy: child labor

    19. Oh come all ye faithful: excludes those of other religions and atheists

Put it this way, how many of you wouldn't hesitate to punch this guy's lights out if it was your daughter, gf, or wife that was stuck in the song's situation?... Not to mention the fact that no one had answered my question as to how old Neptune's Daughter is in the movie and how old the man pursuing her is.

I'm all for free speech and I also think we are at times being too ridiculous with all this PC stuff but in my opinion this song is highly inappropriate and have no problem leaving it and other songs like it in the past.

As for "rap music" I get a real kick out of you old farts who are complaining. You obviously don't know what you're talking about because that type of music hasn't been popular for at least a good 10-15 years now (turn on the radio some time, it's been either dance music with one or two lines of vocals or its country-pop, or its mumble rap where they're mumbling about who knows what) and any of it that does get air play is heavily censored.

Is there even one single Beyonce song with greater "moral fortitude" than this?

If people cared as much about hearing the song before Bell and Rogers announced this as they apparently do after, they wouldn't have pulled it in the first place.

In that case, they better start banning movies, shows, and other entertainment that show similar inappropriate behaviour!

    Weeknd? Kendrick Lamar? Drake?

Some of the top/most played artists are rappers arent they?

Ever read the lyrics to a weeknd song?

To be honest I don’t think I’ve ever listened that closely to Christmas songs and I don’t think anyone but these people actually did. No one is out celebrating taking advantage of someone, no ones glorifying what some interpret the lyrics to be about.

This thread was pretty enlightening especially @spikerS post, I will never listen to Christmas songs the same again
