There's a recording of a teacher in an Edmonton school that hit Twitter today. Teacher went on a rampage telling students they must participate in pride events or else.

She went on to tell the kids they have to support them like they were supported during Ramadan. If they don't support pride they can leave Canada.

Yes, I especially credit him for plainly stating that he does not want his kid to "indulge in faggotry" because, while I'm sure most parents probably feel that way, they are wishy-washy when it comes to stating their "alternate opinion."

I'm scared to bring a kid into this world. Truly.

Why? Proper structure, rules, and clear guidance, and any kid will grow up just fine.

If you let your kid/s make the rules, allow them to do what they want, when they want, no structure, no guidance, good fucking luck.

It’s a massive responsibility to raise children, if you can’t devote the time and effort, don’t have them. Having a nanny raise your kids IMO is a recipe for disaster. Shoving them in front of an iPad or TV, disaster.

Kids need constant stimulation, structure and rules.

I do find it interesting that those who have these "different" opinions like to think of themselves as speaker-uppers and then label others as sheep and blind supporters. You can guide your kid, while not make them feel like their opinion doesn't matter. It's not one extreme to the other (i.e. super strict vs. letting your kid do whatever they want).

There are two problems:

1. We do a poor job of managing the mental health of puberty age kids... Especially girls
2. The Religion of Woke is encouraging the idea that latent, previously unrevealed and widespread sex and gender issues are a (the?) root cause of these mental health issues. This is a major problem as it promises relief but is really snake oil like any other religion. Furthermore it layers on another complication that frequently needs to be addressed later.

Unfortunately if you don't simply comply to #2, you are labeled a heretic, neg repped and told the proper course is blind "support".

A parent's role is to support. Yes. But it is also to lead and to guide.

you're right, religion is the problem, what we're seeing now is an absense and honestly revolt on traditional religion, which is creating real free speech and freedom to feel and be who you truely feel you are instead of casted as a horrible aweful sinner who should be burned at the stake for expressing your true feelings.

Public schools certainly create a specific environment. Particularly urban ones. Now if you think that's the main influence that "creates this problem", we'll I don't see it that way. Maybe a chicken and egg situation.

I can't believe I am agreeing with 89sedan but he's right, children need structure.

Tell a kid they can do whatever they want? Watch most of them play video games and watch youtube.

Tell a kid they can eat whatever they want? Obesity epidemic.

Tell a kid they can be any gender they want? Current situation with 'trans' and 'non-binary' identification absolutely exploding.

You would have to have an extremely low IQ to think any child is capable of making their own decisions that impact their lives on a critical scale. Beyond pissing and shitting, they need guidance through out their entire adolescent life.

If you are allowing them to choose what they eat, when they sleep, what they watch, what activities they do, sports, education, everything that will impact their growth and development, then you shouldn’t be having kids.

By giving them this, you are providing them a better opportunity to make smart decisions later in life.

Lead by example. They are a reflection of yourself.
