    Default WTB: Extremely hardy plants

What are some plants that are cool looking, and very hardy, as in, I can forget to water it for a week or two, and then after a couple of waterings, it will be fine, and its ok if the enviroment varies from shade to some sunlight and also lamp light. No flowers please, unless theyre green or black. And I need them to not be TOO big, so that they can fit on a table or desk. I want to keep this in my room. I guess a hanging plant is ok too, as long as its not that big.

Don't cacti have to be in direct sunlight a lot?

Green flowers or black flowers? Not naturally possible in just about every affordible house plant.

Best off to go with a cactus

Go for bamboo. Just keep the water topped up and watch it grow.

Bamboo is way to big for a bedroom.

A Yukka tree is very resilient.

I was referring to the small bamboo plants that you put on a table. Like this:

Wow, those are both pretty nice, thanks.

Another thing, they need to be somewhat inexpensive. How much do the cacti, Yukka trees, and small bamboo plants cost? (approx)

I'm thinking a small bamboo plant will cost between $20- $30 tops. I've seen them in the local malls up here in Calgary. Not sure where you would find them in the States though.

Those small bamboo things are cheap but the Yukka looks way better and is bigger, I'd get one of those.
