Beatles songs should not be covered.
Though the worst cover I ever heard was some boy band doing Radiohead.
Death's cover of Painkiller by Judas Priest
Metallica's cover of Stone cold Crazy by Queen
Exodus' cover of Dirty deads done dirt cheap by ACDC
hehe Some metal for ya guys.

I strongly urge people to find the Soundgarden cover of Come Together by the beatles (also covered by Aerosmith) but Soundgarden's cover is AWESOME.
Also, Live and Let Die, Guns N' Roses....both the original and the cover are amazing.

LOL! (Inaudible German Noises) "Rahhh, Eat a baby..."
Acutally Germans are the only ones still making good modern Thrash. Sweds are good too. Only Exodus and a handfull of other american bands are keep thrash alive. Besides death metal is ok but I avoid MOST of it

My favortie cover is Zwan (billy corgans new project) cover of Iron maidens "the number of the beast" from the open sequence of the movie spun......
Scrolled through the whole thread to make sure that the greatest cover of all time was listed (Whiskey).Originally posted by 69cougar

I also like:
John Mayer, cover of 'Message in a Bottle' by The Police.
G 'n' R, cover of 'Sympathy for the Devil' by The Rolling Stones.
Lots of good ones as well as bad. I think some UK boy band redid A-Ha's 'Take on Me' and Sheryl Crow put out 'Sweet Child O' Mine' a few years ago. Very bad indeed.
Anything by Me First and the Gimme Gimmies
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”
