    Default exhaust for 2002 civic

what's a good deep sounding exhaust, preferable dualed, for a 2002 si-g civic, i want a deep sound not a high pitched bumble bee muffler.
    thanks

DC Sports TCS (twin canister system), nicest sound I have ever heard from inside and outside the car. Stainless all around. Unless you want to jump the bandwagon of angled canister exhaust setups I would go for Tanabe or Apex'i

How far are you planning to go with the Civic? It'd be interesting to see. One of my friends has a new Civic and it's a bitch trying to find parts for it. Looks like he is going to get a custom turbo kit made for it. He only needs a few hundred more bucks (going to cost around $6000 US), I'm thinking I'll give him the money for his birthday.

I suggested swapping in the RSX-S engine. That would be kind of cool.

Magnaflow is a nice sounding exhaust. One of the nicest in and out ive heard. Very well made too.

About the K20 into Civic swap.
Exxxpensive, And its been done already too. Was featured i THINK in SCC or Honda Tuning, a show civic w/ a see thru hood and an i-Vtec JDM K20 under the hood.
Featured a weird headline too, but i fogot.

Anyways, as for engine swaps with you engine.
I would swap to a DOHC engine, as the d16 doesn't exactly make good power, and for show purposes, Its kinda ugly compared with teh B series and such.
If you do decide to swap, there's Hundreds of options for you go to through with...B18C5, B18 LS Vtec, b16a2, H22A, F series, Franken swaps, blah blah blah blah blhaahah

really??? Apexi is a great exhaust setup
but i would have to disagree with the sound making part
the straight through apexi mufflers r damn loud
sure its nice but sounds like a race car....
haha if u put it on a civic..it'll be pretty cuss
although it makes a huge sound...its not goin anywhere 2 fast

get any muffler with double wall construction for the tip
that would give u a nice low sound without your car sounding like a lawn mower ^_^

I was wondering if they made Stromung exhaust cause I always loved the sound of it, not apex'i.
I have just the apex'i muffler on my old civic and it is pretty loud, but you are right, if you want staight pipe get something with a silencer.

Stromung, as far as I know, is still making exhausts. I've had a stromung back box on my subie for almost 3 years now, and I just love it. Might not be the best for power, but for tone and sound level they are tough to beat.

The K20 into the civivc was featured in Honda tuning, and it isint as expensive as you may think, the engine goes in without a huge amount of headaches, You can place the K20A2 ( new I-VTEC form the Acura RSX) into the EM chassy, (the 2001+ civic) with ease, because hasport makes mounts that will accomidate this swap, the problem with this swap comes when you hit the electrical side of things,

you must re-route almost everything, (fuel lines, heater lines, clutch lines, shifter cables, throttle cables, ect, ) but it wont be long before HASPORT comes up with the mounting brackets and wiring conversions,
