    Default Blown B18 GSR....Turbo rebuild

The bottom end in the B18 GSR motor gave out the other day, which don't bother me because now I can rebuild it.

I am looking for some tips on what parts would be best to use for a turbo application. Type of pistons? rods? and other work I should look at doing at the same time when it's all apart?

Not looking to make crazy power, but boost all day long with about 15psi.

    Thanks,
    James

JE/CP/Wiseco/Arias 81.5mm pistons at 9:1 SCR if it's a street car, eagle connecting rods, new honda bearings, ARP head studs, new oil pump, water pump, timing belt, that's about it.

Two, figure out why your bottom end let go. Stock GSR motors are fairly strong from the get go, so if you have a detonation inducing tune that can hurt a built motor just the same as a stock motor.

JE pistons all the way with turbo cars, they arnt really loud, and they can take a beating. Wiseco good to, I would take JE first though. Eagle rods can handle 300hp with ease, great choice for you application. ARP studs I agree. Some new bearings and the internals should be good to go.

I guess if your gonna be running on premium than 9:1 would be fine with 15 psi once you got computer re-calibrated...and new fuel system.

Is this BA Civic old car? That motor was in immaculate condition. How did you blow it might I ask?

yes this was B.A Civic's car.

There were 2 oil leaks which I didn't catch in time that were from an oil pressure switch for an oil pressure gauge.

also the air filter that was on the car had 2 MASSIVE HOLES in it so who knows what crap got into the engine while that filter was on there.
