Need a little advice

I just picked up my trust manifold for my car and it turns out that the manifold was designed for the rhd version of the ca18det powered 180sx/silvia and the power steering gets in the way. it looks like the turbo will actually not get in the way of the steering colum but my question is this. the runners on the manifold mount the turbo up higher and the wastegate pipe is what is the problem. Now can get that pipe cut off and relocated to another runner? or shorten the pipe so i can mount that wastegate in a possition so that it fits?

like it feels like I am wanting to commit a sin for even wanting to cut this thing up, its soo nice.

just cut it up man... make it fit. You could try, instead of moving it to another runner, you put in a 90 degree elbow instead so that the wastegate is parallel to the mani instead of poking up from it and set it up that way.

Post a picture up of it, BT's suggestion about the elbow sounds like a good idea

i took a better look at it today when i got home from school and it looks like to much has to be refabricated on this manifold to get it to work on my car, i am just going to look into a gt2530 instead and use the money from this towards that.

and its a bottom mount, i was over at chris's house and on the silvia there is so much room there that there wouldn't be a problem

what kind of external gate do you have? is it a deltagate, or a Tial?

its a trust style wastegate, paid $100 for it and its the one that went with the manifold.
