    Default O2 sensor bluff signal

A friend of mine removed the converter from his 02 WRX. He bought this little signal feed to bluff his PCM into believing the rear o2 pattrern is ok. It's a little box with 3 wires. All the instructions say are this wire to B+ wire and that wire to ground wire. Im assuming that the return signal wire must be cut and have the box third wire tapped in to replace the signal to PCM. Also i would assume the sensor will have to still be plugged in to keep the heater circuit portion of the o2 sensor intact.

Any of you guys have this particular set up? Is this the correct way to install it? Thanks for any feedback.

That's just an O2 simulator right? As long as it's feeding a signal to the ECU to make it think that there's an O2 sensor then it should be setup correctly. One wire to power, one wire to ground, and one wire to the O2 Sensor pin on the ECU. Check the voltages on the O2 sensor pin at the ECU - it should be fluctuating.

I'm pretty sure you need the sensor plugged in still so that the HO2S CEL doesn't come on.
