Edit: Ah. Yeah, it does look like Apollo, with the exception that the new lander and capsule are launched separately. Doing it that way means they don't have to build a new Saturn 5. Thing is, though, Apollo worked. It worked so well that by the time of the last mission, they weren't even televising it any more.
Five gets you ten this is cancelled within the next few years. I'll say this for Bush, he's always been a proponent of high prestige (read: easily propagandized) manned spaceflight. Unmanned missions are a lot cheaper and safer, but unless it's Mars rovers or Titan landers, nobody else gives a shit.
