Canon S200 HELP!!!!

i recently purchased this camera, and i just opened the software cd that came with it. It was cracked and my computer can't read it, so i went back to futureshop and told them my story, but FUCK them, as they didnt do shit about it. I figured that i could download the drivers off the canon website and it would be ok. I just downloaded the drivers and installed them, but my computer isnt recognizing ANY connection of the digital camera. I tried it on both my computers and both of them dont recognize the camera. Could there be something wrong with the cord that connects the camera to the computer?? does someone have the Canon CD that comes with it that i can burn a copy of?

my advice tho, get a compact flash card reader that plugs into your USB and forget that shitty software all together.

I had the same problem with my S200 first time then I powered the camera on and switch it to the viewing mode and it worked....

card readers are closer to 40 dollars, but they are much easier to use than the ghey downloading software shiet.

anyway, if u want a new cd, go bitch harder at future shop. threaten to return the camera if they dont find u a cd. cuz if u return the camera, the salesman loses like 20 bucks of commission, the store loses another 50 on markup...and u overall screw them cuz of the time theyve wasted on u with no profit.

Yeah I don't really see why you can't return the camera instead of looking for cards and software etc? Btw - the software isn't that bad. I do have a canon cd if you need it, and the exact same camera.
