It's not that easy, I would need a bit more on your personal history etc. For safety reasons and of course everyones different, what might work for one person might not work for another, so it's hard to just throw something out there and say do this and hope it works, unless I had an idea of where you're at physically, including your injuries and so on.

With that being said if you need any suggestions, or you don't mind answering a few questions I'll help you as much as I can.

    Here's your perfect solution:

    www.freetrainers.com

Go on there, register, and let it make a routine for you. It'll even monitor your progress and suggest a diet plan as well.

There are very few machines that you can't 'sub' for with some other move. If you still can't replicate that machine then be creative and try another exercise that you like, or make those gaps "push-up breaks".

What do you suggest for lat pull-downs? Only big one I can't seem to duplicate.

If you want to be creative:

    - hang from any bar, beam or even a door frame if your fingers are strong enough and pull yourself up with your head going in front of your hands. It will be good for your forearms, biceps, and shoulders, and mainly on the way down it will work your lats.

    - or if you have a resistance band, loop it to something stable that is anywhere above you. if you can screw a U-shaped hook in your ceiling that would be ideal. sit on a chair holding both ends of the resistance band in your hands and pull down like an ordinary lat pulldown.

Agreed... to an extent. The thing is it is important to work on core strength though. Doing 5000 sit-ups a day wont do much other than wear out your back and waste time if your diet isn't being carefully watched.

You've been working out for 2 weeks, just continue to keep at 'er and you'll continue to see the results you want

I don't personally know anyone that trains their abs deadlifts and squats when done right will give you abs better than anything. I dunno in my opinion its a group people put alot of emphasis on that doesn't need any at all if you train correctly in every other area.

Yeah you're right, when using proper form there are a ton of exercises for other muscle groups that use your core to stabilize the rest of your body.

However I still think it's important to train your abs specifically. The key here is it all depends on your workout goals and style.
