Consider it's based on a already decade old SLK and it's parts bin, it should be.
And as a Chrysler brand, it's over charge by about $20K.

even one of their guys admitted it:
"Pricing is an issue if you look at what else is out there in the market today in that segment," Eberhardt said.
I tried the coupe at Spruce Meadows 2 years ago and came back unimpressed. There is a real claustrophobic feel to the interior, with huge blind spots and very small windows. I'm not quite 6' and my head was touching the ceiling. My co-workers old Miata feels like it has more space. My wife (who is like 5'2") wouldn't even try driving the car as it didn't fit her very well either. The performance was nothing to write home about. There was a short straight-away on the track that you could try the acceleration. I was expecting it to really throw me back into the seat, but it didn't feel much faster than my Tiburon. Handling was okay, but it felt heavy and the steering gave virtually no feedback and was quite slow to respond. Overall, quite a dissapointment.

Test drove it at one of their events... it sucked! LOL
adios
I've driven one... a coupe... and what shocked me the most is how unstable it feels. The front end feels very floaty, the rear end give no butt-communication, and while the power is decent, there is really insufficient steering feel to know exactly what the car is doing. Plus, to top it off... it's godawfully UGLY.
Good riddance to a fugly car
It is based on a 10 yr old SLK ... which is some left over from Benz ...
If they make the new crossfire .. then it probaby has to base on the new SLK .. which doesn't make sense at all ...
It is actually good to buy a used crossfire ..
a slightly used 2005 corssfire costs less then a 2001 SLK yeah!

I've driven one, and it feels just like my SLK with upgraded wheels + suspension. If you want floaty, try a stock SLK.

Well, I drove my buddy's when it first came out... maybe they upgraded over the past year or two, or maybe his was fucked, but it was really uncommunicative. Hell, even a Ford Focus ZX3 has more steering feel than the crossfire...Originally posted by rage2

And if you want steering feel, nothing beats a 1990 Honda Civic DX sedan with non-power steering
I drove a first year one. It's no M3, or S2000 for steering feel because it's more power assisted, but you just have to adapt, that's what good drivers do . I was able to get my car sideways and know exactly where the ass is. Like I said, blame the driver .Originally posted by Vagabond142

If the car is so uncommunicative like you said, I would've died long ago on my many outings on highway 1A.

I never said anything about the car not being planted. Grip levels on the car would rival a S2000 (in a SLK anyways, never tracked the crossfire, but I mean it's the same car).Originally posted by Vagabond142
Ah well, maybe I like to feel planted and "railed" when turning. Although I do like the occasional drift

I never said I liked the crossfire.
How about you need to learn how to drive before giving a review on a car's handing attributes?
