That's nuts!
And today was the day that the Mexican President was giving a speech.

I work in the building and know the unidentified male who opened the letter. The same letter was also sent to at least 5 other profs in the building. my prof received a copy and i was able to page through it a bit... pretty crazy stuff.
the 'package' contained a series of photocopied correspondences from some guy in north york ontario, to a bunch of ministers, magazine editors, and professors, etc. the front page was addressed to physicists and zoologists, and this guy was talking about his theory of how the universe would end, and other religious anti-science crap. he was trying to find academics to help him with his theory. this guy was seriously nuts, looked like a hardcore schizophrenic.
anyhow, there was no powder in any of the envelopes as initially reported. one guy who opened one of the letters felt sick (a coincidence) but as a precaution the evacuated the entire building. they didn't realize how many letters had been sent out until this morning.
