Should have been a 2-Man late in the 3rd....Marchant clearly whacked it right into the stands.

After tonight's performance, I think it's safe to say that Kipper will win the Vezina. Outstanding!

Did anyone manage to catch the Edmonton/Detroit highlights? I suggest you give it a watch on Sportsnet (not sure about TSN), because you will see, near the end of the highlight package, Ryan Smyth try to bang it into an open net, only to get stopped by Legace. Right after that, he skates away and goes "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And on a more somber note: don't go getting ahead of yourselves. The playoffs are a whole different game, and while it's one thing to cheer faithfully for your team, it's another to blindy assume that they're going to go deep. Every year has it's Cinderella story...

If they get the #1 pick they will take Eric Johnson, if they get the #2, they will hope that the team picking first takes Phil Kessel (or they pick him themselves).

Its win win either way, but they desperately need a franchise d-man more than they need another forward.
