    Default X-drilled rotor installation

OK, well I looked forever to find some cheap powerstop rotors for the front of my car to match the rear but since nobody carries them I went ahead and got some brembos. Problem is, I order them, and thier recommendation for installation has the drilling pattern sweeping the opposite direction from the rear rotors I already have.
See the attached pic. My rear ones look like the bottom version, but the ones I bought are supposed to be installed like the top version.

Soooo, question is, will it hurt to put the rotors on the opposite way from the recommended install? The mod is pretty much cosmetic and having them going opposite ways would look kinda wonky.

Brembo does no sell left & right rotors so one side will appear be "backwards" .

i heard it depends on the manufacturer and how the insides of the rotor are...

I remember when I put mine on (like the bottom picture), the instruction pamphlet said to put them that way...

They are probably drilled by someone else than because the two rotors have opposite drill patterns.

Align them so that the vanes between the discs point forward and "scoop" air when you're driving foward.

the internal vanes are a fan ..so they are swept BACK . the air enters from the centre and is thrown out by the rotation of the disc.

most rotors do not have curved vanes so there is no left or right.

are both of your front rotors the same? if so, one is gonna have to be 'backwards' like Alpine Autowerks said. If they are different, personally, I'd install them the same way the back ones are but what would really matter are the fins inside the rotor, not the drilling pattern.

thanks for the responses. I'll check if the venting pattern is correct for the recommended install. If its opposite the rear rotors, I'll just change the direction of those ones since the rear 850 rotors are not vented
