Default Out with the old, in with the uhh, newer old :S

Well, the guy picked up the Regal today.

I'm going to miss her, good fun times with burnouts and leaving patches, showing up 5L's on the street, smokign honda's. Kept me busy and kind of out of trouble.

I still got my Camaro, slowly comign along with the rebuild process, kind of slow but getting closer now, paying other people to do my work as I have no work ethic on that thing.

Just thought I would share my new ride with you, I'll be hitting up the BMW meets once I got it and would love to meet some fellow BMW owners.

    Its a 1990 735iL
    3500cc engine
    Automatic
    Navy blue
    115,000 km
    Power steering
    Power windows
    Air conditioner
    Sunroof
    Panasonic TV & DVD navigation
    Aftermarket CD stereo
    17" AC Schnitzer Rims

Let me try and post pictures up of it, I will be moving them to my server eventually as they will take them off the site sometime.

Putting my money down on it tomorrow, will be keeping it in japan for a little until I can pay for shipping, haven't had a job for liek 2 months so I need to start working again.

Let me know what you think!

Oh yah, some of you will ask, future mods????

    - Lowered
    - Leather interior swap
    - Different rims possibly (not right away)
    - Mold or change out TV screen, in the dash not on top
    - Couple of billet assecories to spruce up the interior a little bit
    - Angel eye headlights w/ 6000K HID system
    - Chip (44hp 32ft/lb)
    - UUC Exhaust (40ish hp/tq aswell, damn they must be restrictive)

"the only bad points they noted was a cigarette burn mark on the drivers seat and some small wearing/cracking as you would expect from older leather"

Just got the info from the importer, coudl care less about a single burn and I'm goign to assume its the dash they are talking about for the leather, thats fien for now, swap a full intertior in I will probably end up changing it.

That's an awesome car. Not many around in that condition these days... Definitely a step up from the Regal.

Step down in performance though, a major step too, like falling off a building

Well, I suppose that's what the Camaro is for right?

So this is going to be a daily driver then? Or do you have big plans for this too?

Nah this wil be my daily, big plans for this thing would cost me well over how much the car is costing me and then once I start breaking BMW parts *cringes*

Camaro is slow, its only a 6 :P

Gorgeous! I would keep the cloth interior because most North American spec 7-series have leather. Makes your car more unique.

As for the HIDs, don't go higher than 4500K.

Why you say don't got higher then 4500? I know guys with their foglights as 4300

I like the look and feel of the leather, I guess I will see how I like the cloth in person once it gets here, I've been in a 5 series with cloth and it wasn't bad but its cloth was black, this is grey, not what I want.

Also I don't think these are heated, they may be but not entirely sure, where as if I swapped in a leather interior they woudl be heated and maybe even throw a set of massagers in, seen that done before.

IMO, 4500K is a good balance between nice colour and light output. A higher colour temperature means you get more blue, and less of it.

The human eye is less sensitive to the shorter wavelength light (blue) compared with white or yellow light, so in fact you are getting less light and your eye sees it dimmer too. Double whammy there.

I just installed 4000K HIDs and am really happy with them. These might be too white (or even yellowish) for most people though.

    Good points.

Guess I forgot to mention, that pole thing on the front, will be removed before I even drive the car back to calgary or off the shipping yards.
