about 150-200, making this unit more expensive than buying one from a store. for about 500, you can get one installed with warranty at many install shops in calgary

Yeah agreed. A brand new high end Viper system will run you just under $500 installed professionally and with warranty. Making this one about the same as a brand new unit.

I did a bunch of research and this Compustar Unit is actually a very high quality unit. I think that in order for buddy to sell this unit, he's going to have to sell for at least $100 cheaper even though this unit is probably worth what he's asking just because install shops encorporate free install into their deals and would charge upwards of $150 for intall otherwise.

^ agreed. i thought of buying it from him but it comes out to be like $15 cheaper but no warrenty. The installer might screw up and blame it on the unit.

I know the FS rules. I contributed to the thread by saying that your unit was nice and probably worth the money but is not a good deal when you compare it with places that will include install with their units. Potential buyers should know what install will run them in order to help them decide whether or not to buy this unit.

By the way...maybe you should read the rules, I'm quite sure it says not to bump your for sale threads everyday.
