    Default FS: 1982 BMW 320i TURBO

    This is a project car. I bought this car last summer in non running condition and spent the summer making it fast. It now can do 0-100kph in under 9 sec on bald winter tires. With more tuning and TLC this could be one really fast car. The engine has about 56K on it, not sure how long the turbo has been on the car for. The body is in rough shape, but could be fiberglassed. The engine looks great and runs well (very loud) but does need some fuel/ignition tuning.

    Some more information would be nice. LIke what engine, km's, any other specs. Also how bad is the rust. just surface or are there holes

    320i is the way togo! its really not that slow at all dunno bout the older ones but my mid end tq is not too shabby

    you bastards! and your low ball offers... it's worth atleast double that!

    There's about 210K on the chasis, the right rear springs need to be replaced. The rust does go through the fenders in spots. The windshield needs to be replaced. It comes with the interior that had been pulled out. The seats are Recaro sport seats. BBS 15" wheels. Good fire out the exhaust on high rpm shifts

    That reminds me, it needs a new tailpipe as we blew the end off the existing straight pipe on one especially hard shift. I was dodging exhaust pipe peices in my 944 driving behind it. We were able to make it hold 14 psi of boost to 6000RPM. She runs a little rich and blows some oil smoke from the turbo on startup.

    The engine is a 2.0 fuel injected that was replaced recently and wasn't running because an intake manifold gasket was blown. That's when my buddy and I bought it.

    wow, Chip, Test pipe... 300ish HP, how much power did that have stock? That can't be at the wheels! Have you dyno'd?
    Machining, Fabricating, Welding etc.

    Yeah, that's my new car. It hasn't arrived yet, but it should be in edmonton by next friday. Stock HP is 247 at the crank. More boost from the wastegate and chips brings it up to the chip manufacturers claim of 300. The test pipe should bump it up a little more even. I'll take it to the dyno sometime after it arrives to make sure the a/f ratios are good.
